  • I do this too. It's my just in case stash for missing breakfast/lunch.
  • I have never been anorexic...but I have had some heavy duty bulimic tendency in the past (7 years ago mainly...then on and off for a few years). I am using this site to keep me on middle ground....not binging..... not purging.... Just staying level and healthy. It's still tough to remember to eat and when....but by…
  • I am not Catholic...but I started doing Lent last year. I went WAY overboard last year (chocolate, red meat, "white" flour products, soda).... It was ugly. This year i am keeping it simple.... No fast food (minus Subway...it's not a fav place but in a pinch it works while on the road).
  • YAY! That is a great step!
  • Like... the Beachbody Insanity by Shaun T?
  • I'm a returning member too!!! Life got complicated and isn't crazy how the first things to go are usually the best things for us! Like you I tend to binge or not think about the calories I am eating. When I started figuring a "normal" day, I was blown away... no wonder I had gotten so chubby! Welcome back and good luck!…
  • I HATE brussel sprouts with a passion. Do you guys have a good recipe on roasting them. I gag at the thought of steamed ones.
  • LOVE spinach on my pizza.... and jalapenos.... Wish my family was as tolerant to my pizza loves.
  • Thanks you guys! I know it may not mean much to many people... but it is HUGE for me.
  • Love it! Keep in touch you guys I need all the help!
  • If you are still lookin for some more support add me!
  • Sadly, I haven't had to deal with those concerns yet, but that must be difficult for you. Especially since you probably worked really hard to lose the weight~
  • Thanks, it's been a rough year or so.... Did not go as expected. Any help, guidance, pointers are ALWAYS appreciated.
  • Thanks.... it would be great to have the things you mentioned at the end improve...:)
  • Thank you! I have been contemplating just that....walking... I work an odd shift and haven't tried my normal workouts. However, I get an hour lunch which with me packing them that is lots of time... so I can use the extra time for a little walk around the hospital.
  • Thanks! My living situation is complicated but thanks to a new job I will have a more set schedule to control WHEN and how much I eat. I have been logging the last day or so, but am still in the "not so healthy" attitude....but I am wanting to SEE the impact of what I am eating on a "normal" basis.... so far...it's been…
  • Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully, I will stop eating out as much. I mean, I know canned food isn't the best but compared to eating out all the time. It's way better.
  • Me again... obviously I am a food addict.... AButler, I totally get the whole eating junk and still not feeling "full." The past week or so I've been eating out A LOT and not the healthy stuff either... but I am always hungry again in a short amount of time! It's crazy! I am going to really focus on cutting out eating out…
  • I have had that issue before. certain exercises, well in my situation any exercise, can help. Also, maybe invest in some articles specifically designed for leakage..
  • I am glad I am not alone! The food is really my down fall right now... I work out, although not as crazy as it once was, but it's not counter balancing the calories I am taking in.
  • I say you talk to him. Let him know that you appreciate him trying to help you stay on track but it wasn't done in a way you found supportive and made you feel bad about yourself (even if it was a little bit). Then let him how know he could remind you in a supportive way. It was a little treat, not a full out bender (trust…
  • Oh! Can I join the group? I never would of thought of myself as a FOOD ADDICT, but it has to be true. I kind of "took a break" from healthy living for 2 months and GAINED 10lbs!!!! Talk about a wake up call. Now, I am TRYING to get back in the groove but am really struggling. I always feel/think I am hungry. I am a total…
  • Wow.... First off, congrats on all the hard work!!! Did you lose weight because of him/wedding or did you intend or were working on losing weight in the first place? It's not his call what you eat...
  • I LOVE cutting mine into "fries" and seasoning them with some Cajun seasoning. SOOOO good. I have never been able to crisp them up, but they are still good.
  • I always wondered when lunch fit in! Oh! Another thing I've seen lots of people do... Walk at the office or do stairs... depends. I used to teach and teachers would use the track at lunch or on prep time to get in a quick workout. I totally understand the whole getting dark and not feeling like you have any time.
  • I always ponder on those who exercise at lunch.... when do they EAT lunch??? Don't get me wrong, workout whenever you can... it just has been something I ponder. I used to workout after I'd get home, it was tough to keep motivated to do that, but it was worth it. So, if working out at lunch is too hectic. Doing it right…
  • I enjoyed mine as well, it was worth it. I wouldn't do it on a regular basis, but it's a fun seasonal splurge.
  • Great advice. I do feel better just doing something, even a short workout (I try to do it AT LEAST 3 times a week). I was reading an article about doing one small thing each week... I gave up milk chocolate for my first goal (which has been tough... cause I am SUCH an emotional eater). It just doesn't feel like enough…
  • Also, I LOVE to cook. So lower glycemic recipes would be awesome. My habits weren't awful, but bad enough to have me concerned. Losing weight has been a struggle for years, even when 100% focused (minus eating more than 3x) the weight really didnt come off much. I really want to be healthy more than get skinny.;
