I have been implementing the "one day at a time" view on life and health for the past month and am seeing much less stress in my life!! It is much easier to focus on conquering TODAY now, and worry about TOMORROW later.

I will be turning 40 in about 14 months. I don't have any lofty weight loss goals (only about 15 lbs to go) but I would like to hit the heavy weights again and be lean and sexy by 40!

I walk 6-10 miles per day. I eat 1800-2100 calories. My diary is open to friends and I log in everyday. Feel free to add!

Strap on a heart rate monitor, do the exercises, and find out what YOU burn. It really doesn't matter what anybody else burns.

Great story, thank you for sharing! While you may not think you are an inspiration, I bet anyone who knows you (whether in RL or on MFP, or anywhere else) would beg to differ. It's stories like yours that inspires friends and total strangers alike to make the necessary changes in their own lives to conquer any challenges…

Forgot to post yesterday, but I did 2 hours. I just did 3 hours today, so that is 11 hours WTD; 3 to go. If I pound it out tomorrow, I will definitely take the weekend off!

I guess I will be the first to say, I absolutely hate it!! Just a few days ago, it told me I burned 4244 calories in the 7 hours I spent ASLEEP, from midnight to 7AM. Yesterday, I walked 11 miles, took over 26,000 steps and burned just over 1,000 calories. According to my BodyMedia, my TDEE for the day was 2536. According…

It's only Monday and I'm almost a third of the way there :laugh: I just finished an 11 mile walk in about 4 hours, so I guess that leaves me with 10 more hours of activity to go. Ahhh...just when I thought I was done for the week :noway:

I honestly don't know what the answer is and can only speak from personal experience. When I started MFP back in Feb of this year, I focused on cleaning up my diet. Best kept secret I am going to share: Asian Markets They typically sell fresh fruit and veggies for a FRACTION of what it would cost at a regular grocery store. Their meats tend to be cheaper as well. If it didn't cost me so much money in gas just to get to one, I'd do all my grocery shopping at Asian markets! :grumble:

I am 5'3", so 4.0 is a fast walk for me, and anything over that would definitely be a jog or run!
