1200 calories is your problem.

There are several studies done since the 80s proving that you need .55g/1lb of LEAN muscle mass, at the least, to gain muscle. Anything past .8g is pretty much waste.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This right here.

Here's the counter argument. I eat 500g of carbs. I'm slowly losing weight. Just because it's not processed and bleached carbs doesn't mean it's bad carbs
-
Sounds like a low carb fad diet honestly.
-
If you're losing more than 2 lbs per week then yes, eat more.
-
Just go to a specialty running/walking store. All you answers will be revealed.

I manually enter mapmyfitness logs, try Endomondo

It's probably because you need the carbs. Don't demonized them because the "diet and fitness industry" has done so. Also 1280 calories doesn't seem like enough. I know that for those who are older the metabolism can slow down due to age and muscle deterioration but I highly doubt 1200 calories will be sufficient for normal…

You need to eat way more. Just because you cut calories drastically doesn't mean you'll get good results. I've seen stunning, yes stunning, results from those who don't cut calories and just make better choices in what they eat. And no, I don't think kgeyser is suggesting you can eat mcdonalds and pizza. Sure you can lose…

Simple. You upped your weight training. When you up your weight training you are causing more muscle damage, which then causes water retention and yadda yadda yadda retention to repair the muscle. It has nothing to do with your macro "ratio"

Well I'm a vegan and I can already give you the cheapest things I buy: Rice Bananas Frozen veg Everything else I buy when there's a special or on sale, including spices. Slow cooker is really good for dried beans. Also if you are THAT worried about protein you can use wheat gluten flour (pure protein) and make your own…

I think the calorie counting is silly. It makes people grumpy. It makes women b!tchy. I have personally gotten into this thing where if I recall what it makes me feel post eating (bloated, groggy, foggy headed, ect), I'm probably not going to eat it. Mainly because I enjoy being hyper and energized over what society says…

Your protein goals are really high. You only need between .55-.8g/1lb of LEAN muscle mass. I would also focus on upping your fruit and veg intake for more optimal body function.

Citations citations citations Blah blah blah, here's a lovely video. http://youtu.be/RehCW0KM8RM

Hahaha I seen that and died laughing.

Low carb = water weight loss You will be surprised how much water the body can hold.
-
There have been several studies since the 80s that show that you need .55g/1lb of lean body mass. Once they went lower, their performance suffered. Excessive protein intake and low carb intake will flush out water weight. When you re-add carbs you "puff out" due to water retention (and sodium if you're consuming loads of…

Why on earth are you eating 1200 calories on a raw food diet. I eat mostly raw and I know people who eat full raw and none of them are eating 1200 calories. I ate 1200 calories and felt like ****. I ate 1200 on high raw and felt like ****. Looking at your diary (assuming the days you did log were full days) you are low on…

I had the same problem. I CAN be diet related. Just eat more fruits and veg and drink more water.
-
If you do don't quit your day job. I know way too many people who are struggling with this and spend so much time trying to advertise that they all sound the same *dies*

This is so wrong. Except for the water, drink enough water You need to eat enough fruit and veg for several reasons. - your body is telling you it needs extra vitamins and minerals and possibly calories. Just eat more vitamin/mineral rich foods. - the fiber in fruit and veg will help flush out water weight and other junk…

1) No. Not with personal experiences as well as what other people have said I don't believe that hype, it's true to a certain extent. I used to eat way less calories and now I eat twice the amount I used to eat. 2) water retention is used for muscle repair. 3) not all sugar/carbs is the same. The carbs found in what grows…

For the irregular heartbeat you need to stop running and get monitored by a doctor.

There's also a website called eatmore2weighless, it's mostly geared toward women (I mean diet industry mostly hits women on starving themselves).

The only difference is that the blended fruit will be easier to digest since it's mashed. You still have all the same nutrients, fibre, calorie content, ect.

I've dealt with it and ran a marathon with it. I don't recommend that haha. But this is what I did to alleviate the pain and strengthen the foot and surrounding area. First and foremost, if you can get a hold of electroshock/wave(whatever they want to call it anymore) therapy, do it. It works wonders on a lot of the…

The sugar in natural food responds better in the body because it is accompanied by natural fiber. The processed junk doesn't really go through the body to well.

My ADHD gets out of hand (apparently booze makes it worse). I get chatty, then I dance, then I run outside, back inside, dance, run around. And eventually moon someone if I'm feeling the mood to.

They say runners who wave and say hi are happier runners :P
