1000 calories is too low. Yes you may in fact regain weight, it's natural.

Yes and no. As long as you show them the basics of healthy eating and show by example (not having chips and chocolate in the house for example), I'm pretty sure they will turn out ok. Sometimes showing them the battlegrounds of calorie counting can lead to a frustrating life down the road. Like obsessively counting and not…

Oh dear GAWD some of these comments... Metabolic disorders are rare. Your metabolism becomes more efficient when it needs to be ("slower") because it wants to live. Last time I was on meds and gained weight from it it took me longer than 3 months to lose what I gained....over a year. Suck it up and have patience.

1) I was unhappy with the location of my school and team....isnt education more important than playing college sports team? I mean I understand if its for scholarship money because I did the same thing. But your education is important. 2)If you dont eat over your calories you generally wont gain weight. Not true, I eat…

I'm the same age as you, shorter than you, at a healthy BMI and I eat 2200 calories average. I am also a vegan who eats a ton of carbs (just proving that high protein is bullsh!t and that binges are usually because you are not eating enough carbs from the right sources.... a.k.a. vitamins and minerals the body is trying to…

I would kill to have thick calves. So don't hate them ;)

Clean you out = DIARRHEA
-
OP Your fine with your intake. The protein hype in this country is overrated and not really that healthy. People who say things like cutting out carbs...really it just referring to cutting out processed crap.
-
um...no

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YjLMdx3YZY I'm sorry but he doesn't look to vibrant in this bulletproof coffee infomercial.

What he said. I'm also vegan :)

"Like a caveman" Yup stopped reading there.

Carbs don't make you gain weight No one gains on 1400 calories unless their metabolism has become THAT efficient.

Skipping all of the comments because I think I saw a 50% protein ratio *barf* It doesn't matter because as long as you get them from good sources (fruit, veg, grains) your ok. Some days I'll get 600g in and some days 400g. But I always wake up feeling like I could run 5 miles or more before work. The whole macro thing is…

1) it's most likely water weight. Exercise can do that. Even if you don't lift and do a hard sprinting workout your legs will have a hard time fitting into skinny jeans the next day (I know this from experience) 2) It is possible to get fat on 1200 calories a day. Why? Well since I cannot see your diary I can tell you…

OH MY GAWD. I had NO idea sunlight made me fat. Geez maybe we're all just vampires drinking cows blood....because paleo.
-
Just eat more food in general, not just more protein (where ever the hell this bullsh!t came from just please...please stop it...its stupid). Make smoothies and bring them into work or make higher calorie dense meals. Check out eatmore2weighless.com also. There's a ton of good info on there I think you will find helpful.

I have a horrible sweet tooth and I pretty much knocked that one out by upping my fruit intake. Sometimes avoidance doesn't work and you just gotta work with it. If you have to eat a whole water melon do it, it's better than devouring a giant bag of Hershey kisses.

Eat more. But I. Addition to setting more eat more of the unprocessed junk. When I was cutting calories I gained weight and no not muscle weight.
-
I used to eat what people consider "normal low carb" (like 30-60%) I felt like crap and developed digestion issues plus my completion aged 5 years in one year. I also developed chronic fatigue (slept 12 hours a day), PCOS, constantly bloated. Now I'm "high carb" and everything is reversing. Just saying be careful.
-
Pros: quick weight loss usually in the form of water weight. Cons: constipation, fatigue, bad skin, brittle nails, weight gain long term, digestion issues, always looking tired. I've gotten over my "processed carb" habit by eating more fruit, if you want something sweet eat fruit. If you want salty it's due to a mineral…

That's what happens when you cut out fiber/carbs. (And suffer from IBS on top of it) Add more veggies, fruit, potatoes, beans, lentils. Carbs arn't the enemy ;)
-
Worse thing I ever did was low carb. I'll save you from the goriest of the details but I started developing PCOS and other *kitten*.

Humans weren't ment to consume dairy after a certain age or from another animal. So cutting it out will solve some other issues you probably didn't notice before (like skin issues or digestive issues). So I would stick with almond milk, or any other options like coconut and rice :)
-
The measuring and whatnot may be true, buuuutttttt......it could be because you are eating to few calories (crazy right?), happened to me and it can happen to anyone. If this is your situation I wouldn't worry too much about cutting calories and just eat healthier foods like more produce. The weight loss might be slower…

Calorie restriction = no The best thing you can do for weight loss and your health is to make smarter decisions in what you put into your mouth.
-
It's more than potassium, it could mean you're not getting enough of a certain mineral or your not absorbing a mineral properly.

I'm a chipotle girl all the way ;) you can make it healthy or unhealthy.
