I feel like the potential oddball here. I'm Ashley, here's a short story about me. I used to compete in track/XC in high school and college (the big guys). My weight plummeted to 100lbs during this time, I was also struggling with depression with multiple family deaths on top of all the stress. Since then I've put on about…

I'm 5'2 3/4 (5'3 right???). I'm trying to build some muscle and lose some blubber >_<

As long as you're not over indulging in godet vegan foods you'll be fine. There's plenty of protein in plant foods, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

When I wash my food. JK Actually I believe in eating food from the earth and not from a package. But for sanity's sake I'm not 100%.

I'm 24, close enough! From PA, and yes that is my cat.

I thought she was 40 >_> In one article I read she admits to exercising four times a day...wtf.

I don't drink dairy, we don't need as much calcium as we think we need anyways. Never broke a bone or suffered from shin splints either ;) Plus all the positive dairy and calcium related studies are funded by the dairy industry. The countries with the largest dairy consumption have the highest osteoporosis rates. Also why…

If you're used to eating a lot then add more veggies and fruit like cantaloupe and watermelon.

Literally.com Has all of the old Bodyrock workouts on it plus the free Zwows. It also has a search engine if you're short on equipment or want to mix it up.

Mostly diet. You can workout and get results from that, but the rest of the day you could mess up. Also what you put in your body is what you get out. Say 100 calories of potato chips vs 100 calories of apple. Apple is gonna do you more justice with more vitamins, fiber, ect. While the potato chips are gonna give you…

Check out Bodyrock.. It's free, mostly body weight, and I'm pretty sure you can use things around the house like kitty litter for weights.

Hey girl you're not alone, Therapy is expensive and sometimes the best therapy is finding support through any website (like this one), looking at others success stories of battling this *kitten*, music, just anything. Also if there's a negative influence (like a person or a job), try your best to stay away from it as much…

That sounds lie overkill cardio and possibly overuse injury. I mean short term it would be ok, but I would just stick to once a day and do 2 of those cardio sessions at a hiit/interval format.

Actually we don't need that much protein. A woman can easily live off of 45g and a man 64g, and that's sitting on your butt all day. Personally I would stay away from soy since it messes with hormones. Nuts are a good option, but don't forget grains like lentils and legumes have good protein sources. Also veggies and…

I just turned 24 X)

That looks good. I only have bananas, spinach, chia seeds and mint extract. Lets see what I can come up with on this one XD

Blended apple and cinnamon and brown sugar. Tastes way better than packaged.

To everyone complaining about why us "pro carbs" peeps come on here is be amuse we understand the importance of carbs. Go research the health effects of low carb diets, like deep research. Ones not backed by the meat and dairy industry (yea I'm vegan so flipped what?). Here's what happens on low carb. You lose weight…

My secret stash of California Dates ;)

"Low carb low carb low carb" Sorry guys, I wouldn't buy into a lifestyle that promotes dehydrating the body. Eating more greens and fiber. It will give you a healthier skin glow (I mean who doesn't want that in pics), give you a hydrating boost and act like a natural diuretic for "stubborn" water weight that sticks around…

Hey now, lets not confuse the poor girl. Yes a lot of people are going to say increase fats and that will happen naturally. But also you need to incorporate an increase in fruits, veggies and a colorful wide range of food. If you've been restricting, chances are your body is going to need all those nutrients. Personally I…

Or you can try to replace Subway/McDs/BK with whole foods for cheaper.

Eatmore2weighless has an entire blog and whatnot dedicated to those who restricted calories and are trying to "refeed". (Mainly carbs because everyone is so carb phobia these days). Bloating is normal, but also what is your normal intake like? If you're eating excessive fats (like greasy foods or processed fats like most…

Heres a rough idea of mine is something like this : Breakfast: oatmeal and fruit (I tend to get overly relative here) Or just straight up fruit Lunch: same thing as breakfast Smoothie Soup Or completely omitted because of work Dinner: rice/lentils/pasta and veggies Rice and beans Burritos Smoothie Salad with lots of…

Ketosis is not good for us. It's a back up plan for when glucose (the main fuel) runs out. The body only uses a small portion of it before the rest exit though the urine. Anyone trying to throw the Inuit or masaai tribes in this conversation need to do more research. Inuit suffer from severe constipation (they even have a…

There's a lot of broscience on this one, especially sites like bodybuilding.com But you really only need .8g:1lb for a bulk. It wouldn't make a difference to go the 1g:1lb ratio, so get the extra .2 from good carbs. Don't be afraid of them. There are vegan body builders out there who eat nothing but fruits and veggies.

Outside is so much better because you got hills. You got wind. You got scenery. Also after X-amount of time you'll find the treadmill boring.

I'm one of those log before I eat people. But sometimes spontaneous things happen like half a container of wine...oops...
-
I log them because half a head of cauliflower can still be 100 calories. And fiber. And carbs. And whatever else I'm tracking.
