  • It depends on what your goals are and what works for your body. Hard to answer without knowing these.
  • Due to the fact that you are a higher weight with more to lose, you would have been fine with the 1200 calories for a while. I started at 240 a year ago and ate 1200 calories for the first 60lbs till my body levelled off and I plateaued. If cardio is all you can handle right now that's great, but I recommend adding some…
  • I hear ya!!! I've been eating 100% clean since the new year...next month we are going to Vegas and I am afraid to even try anything for fear of getting sick and wasting my vacation feeling yucky! It's kind of a positive thing though when our bodies tell us we have made the right choice getting that kind of stuff out of our…
  • I thought I knew what to eat and not eat too....I plateaued for 9 months....then I started working with trainers and took their suggestions and now amazing things are happening. Does it actually just come down to wanting results and being willing to accept advice and ctitisicm to get them???
  • The best thing I ever did was join a 12 week challenge. This way I am accountable to someone other than myself as well as I'm working towards winning a trip and money at the end. I recommend looking for a goal to work towards so you have a constant focus and when you feel weak you say "pizza or my prize...what's more…
  • Hire a trainer!!! He or she will ensure you do them with correct form and he or she will also encourage you and push you to new levels!

  • If you don't want to know the truth and get successful advice why ask for help in the first place?
  • That is what my body does the minute I consume wheat or anything refined or processed...boom 10 lbs of bloatiing back on and it takes me 2 weeks to get it back off. It's just how my body reacts to that kind of food....it doesn't even have to be crap just refined or processed :( Clean the old diet right back up and give it…
  • What are you eating? It's 80% diet, 10% exercise and 10% genetics when looking at weightloss.
  • To get some real advice I suggest opening up your diary so we can see what you are consuming. At your weight with not a lot to lose you need to get some strength training going, cardio alone is not going to get you the results you want.
  • Do some research on alcohol and what the body does with it...that might be something you want to consider cutting as well. Also, if you open up your diary those of us that have had great success will be better able to advise you. It's all about finding a balance of what your body responds to. You don't gain 3 lbs of muscle…
  • Sorry you feel that way but many people on here know what they are talking about. I have to eat 100% clean with no wheat products to lose any weight. If I cave in and have a treat involving sugar or any wheat products I'm up 5 lbs overnigh and it takes 2 weeks to get that 5 lbs back off and start losing again. I also have…
  • I hired a personal trainer...he pushes me and kicks my butt every single day I work with him....knocked my plateau right out of the water!!!
  • The first 50 statistically are always the easiest...after that the real work begins. After being stalled for 6 months I hired myself a personal trainer. It is the best investment I have ever made in myself. He helps me with my diet, he's my therapist, and most of all he pushes me out of my comfort zone when working out :)
  • I agree carbs are not the problem, it's the calories. If you keep running a deficit like you are your body will just hold onto the weight.
  • If you run too large of a deficit your body will go into starvation mode and hold onto weight instead of shedding it. It happened to me and it took 6 months to reset my metabolism and level off so I could start losing again. Some may say it's a myth, I just know that that was how my body reacted and I really wish I hadn't…
  • I recommend researching what levels are right for you and resetting your goals to an appropriate level of protein.
  • I work with a trainer 4x a week....best investment in myself ever!!!
  • Distraction, distraction, distraction. I go upstairs to bed to watch tv or read at 9 pm every night. I get naked and into bed. I am way too lazy to get dressed up again to go downstairs and find any food no matter how bad the craving is. Second is I don't have any junkfood or binge food in my home whatsoever. My kids and…
  • Yes, you can get both at any pharmacy. When you change your body's fuel so much it's like your car, it needs to clean itself out of the toxins etc. Using a digestive enzyme and probiotic will help regulate your digestive system.
  • I don' t have time right now to read the responses. If no one has suggested it get yourself some digestive enzymes and probiotics. When I started working with trainer Nadine Dumas this was her first recommendation. It made a huge difference!
  • Why would orthodics not be an option??? I have messed up arches and have had orthodics all my life...couldn't live without them. Getting rid of shin splints is all about good shoes and orthodics is you need them!
  • Stupid question of the day but what carbs are best. Is a refined bagel good because it will spike my blood sugar and give me an energy surge that I will crash from after or are healthy whole grains like brown rice oatmeal etc better?
  • Ok, I came up with a goal but need help! I want to lose 2 inches off my waist...what is a reasonable time to expect to accomplish this in?
  • Sounds like withdrawl from all the bad stuff to me. That is what I went through when I cut everything "bad" out of my diet cold turkey. It went away after a week once my body adjusted. I found it really helped to take in a lot of protein!
  • Eating clean has cut my monthly grocery bill by 75%. It's surprising how quckly processed foods drive up your grocery bill. The "too expensive" excuse is literally a joke!!!
  • How do you know what are "real 100% whole wheat products?"
  • Hugs to you. I sent you a private message :)
  • I recommend getting a good book from the library. There are two series that I have found to be the most informative, the Eat Clean series and The Biggest Loser series.
  • My opinion...once he's seen you give birth...what's there to hide anymore!!! LOL
