I’m on week 3 of IF/Low Carb. I am down 24lbs (yes I realize it was mainly water weight but I’ll take it! ) I try and keep my carbs under 20 net and I do a 16/8 daily fast. I drink at least 3L of water daily which has been my biggest challenge since I’m not much of a drinker. I also try to aim for 30 min of walking daily.

Don’t over do it. Take small steps and build. I personally found that if I go crazy, I get sore or I burn out and then slip back into old habits. You are doing such a fantastic job! Remember it took years for that extra weight to get there so it’s going to take time for it to come off. Keep up the great work ❤️

So I just want to bump this as I’m pretty sure I’ve figured out this fat issue. Avocado Oil, MCT oil which I take twice daily (28 grams of fat right there), I made some fat bombs as well. I’m getting over 100grams of Fat in daily and my macros are currently 70-75% fat, 20-25% protein and 5-10% carbs

What I recommend is you meal Prep. Take a day you have off and cook your next weeks meals. That way you just grab, reheat and eat. I hate cooking bacon so I cheat and buy precooked from Costco, lol. Eggs take no time to whip up.

I'm in the same boat. Started on Coversyl and my heart rate just wouldn't come down. I'm 38 yrs old. Resting HR was 95 and the moment I exerted myself in anyway, it shot up. I had thyroid cancer and a complete thyroidectomy. I put on A LOT of weight and find many tasks exhausting. I have had the best luck with a Keto diet. I exercise in multiple small bursts. 5 min here, 10 minutes there. Where there is a will, there is a way! I’ve lost 20lbs so far :)

I was always told that as long as your fat intake is at least double that if your protein, you’re doing good. My macro’s are set at 70 % fat, 20% protein and 10% carbs. I don’t stress if I’m over one day here or another there. Just look to see where you can make adjustments in your diary :)

I start my day with a cup of coffee (I hate coffee btw) 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon coconut oil, 2 tablespoons whipping cream and 2 teaspoons of swerve. I place it in a blender and whip it all up.

Have a coffee or tea with1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon coconut oil. If you like cream add whipping cream to the mix. I start my day with that and it gives me about 35g of fat! Look up fat bombs as well. There are so many different types.

So today I'm doing a bit better on the fat consumption. I added a tablespoon of coconut oil to my protein shake this morning and olive oil to my scrambled eggs and bacon for lunch. My lunch had 40g of fat by itself!! Woot woot
