Right. I think that's the problem with my stealing your quote and opening a new thread with it. In the original thread, it was in context and so it was clear that there were two lists being contrasted. On this thread, out of context (and with me not having heard of the "two-list exercise" as such), I realized shortly after…

My own weight fluctuations, from Day 10 (first day I could get a 10-day moving average) to Day 41 (today). The initial slope is high because I lost a lot of water weight on Days 1-9. Purple diamonds are scale readings, blue circles are my 10-day moving average, gray dotted line is the slope you'd see if I lost exactly 1…

Excellent points, @pinuplove! ...continuation of my list: 6. Alden's Vanilla ice cream (say what you will, but a really good vanilla is really good) 7. My own oatmeal-everything cookie dough, made with egg whites only and eaten raw from the mixing bowl 8. Nanaimo bars 9. Berry pie (all the berries) 10. Ham. All the ham.…

A pint's a pound, the world around. ;)

Yes, please! (*kitten* out whatever you have to, but fitness-minded minds want to know!)

OP, I have not tried Herbalife specifically and don't know the merits of the product. But I have to wonder how good the stuff can be if the manufacturer can't sell it except as part of a pyramid scheme.

(Maybe I'm letting my imagination run away with me here, but) your belly button could be seen as a flat-topped volcano; with a little trail of steam just above it indicating the hot, dynamic woman inside. :)

@cholloway88, as @stepmill_jack said, you look gorgeous in your profile photo. :) Your photo seems to have captured a moment when you were happy and were sharing that happiness with those around you. Seeing photos like that helps to remind me that beauty isn't about what a person weighs. Beauty seems to be more about…

If the high end of the overweight category is where you are when you need to pause and retrench with a diet break, then it's not silly to maintain there. -- And it beats the heck out of maintaining at 44 lbs higher than that - congrats on your weight loss! :) Your weight loss rate will, of course, be slowing down as you…

^ This. I would really like to be able to buy a few really nice pieces of clothing that I could rely on to class things up from time to time, and to know that they're still going to fit five or ten years from now.

Yes. There is information and motivation to be found here, and both will help you. I'm sorry to hear about your back - being in pain is awful. :/ Here are hugs and support, and my best wishes for both your back and your weight loss journey. :)

Will you marry me??? #geeklove

A few things to bear in mind: 1) Your husband presumably had water weight to lose from your vacation, too, likely more than you did. 2) Your husband started out weighing more than you did. Twenty pounds is only 9.1% of his starting weight of 220 lbs, while 9 pounds is a full 4.7% of your starting weight of 190. So you're…

Wonderful! That's fantastic!!! :) :) :) (and here's to sort-term goals!)

Thanks :) (if I did get one with a squeaker, it could be a good way to drive my cat nuts... ;) )

1) Padding can be necessary to keep nipples from showing. b) I think the fabric "sandwich" with the padding inside may be stronger and/or easier to shape than just an outer shell and a lining - or an outer shell with no lining. iii) ?????, or else the same reason bras have those odd little tiny bows in the front: custom…

Maybe a "diet break" would be a good idea, maintaining at your current level and taking some time to let your body and your brain get used to being the new you. I worry about the same things - will I regain it all, how will I deal with uninvited male attention, etc. I will have to redefine myself a lot as my weight loss…

Yup, I was being over-dramatic. Went to urgent care because the pain was driving me bugnuts, and the doc says it's just a knotted muscle. B) He also said there's no real telling what caused it. He prescribed self-massage with a tennis ball, and the passage of an unspecified amount of time. :|

Doh! I meant reseller, not retailer. Poshmark is sort of like Ebay/Craigslist for clothing, although the protections are somewhat better. The 36A's started around $3.00 and many were around $10 or $15.
-
A search of my favorite online retailer for 36A's in colors other than white, beige and black (Poshmark) turned up at least 10 pages of 52 each (I didn't scroll to the end), including a couple I'd give my eyeteeth to have in my size. The vast majority did seem to be padded, though.

The pain is no longer improving (maybe getting worse), and I haven't worn a bra since Friday. Tried an online symptom checker, which (like so often happens) turned up with something super scary: cholecystitis/gallbladder attack. Apparently, gallbladder pain is usually in the front upper abdomen, but sometimes turns up just…

Find things to feel good about. You've got plenty: You've lost seven kilograms! That's 15.4 pounds! A British "stone" and 1.4lbs in change*! That's an accomplishment, and worth stopping to take pride in and to celebrate!!! (*I recently lost my own first British stone, and celebrated by making a bracelet with a stone bead…

The short answer, sadly, is: "No." The longer answer is that you can sometimes make an area look trimmer by exercising to tighten up the muscles underlying the fat. Fat deposits over trim muscles = less flabby appearance than fat deposits over flabby muscles. But the fat will still be there. It only goes when you lose…

Go without an underwire? ...Oh, would that I could. Whenever I go to take the pencil test, I might as well use a typewriter. ;) At 44-42DDD(F), going without an underwire hurts worse than going with. My sports bras have underwires. I can't remember the last time I was able to go with out an underwire, but it might have…

Still hurts today, but less. I'm putting that bra in time-out for the time being.

Probably a dumb question, but how old is the battery in your scale?

What's a "kargecarm"? A forum search didn't turn up any results (other than your post), and a google search didn't either.

It could be that she's retaining water (is it her TOM?), it might possibly be the thyroid thing, it could be some weird teenage hormone stuff - she's probably still growing, right? My humbly given advice would be that you wait another two weeks before getting too concerned. I'd also suggest that you reassure your daughter…

Yippee!!! Hurrah! Woot woot wooty woot WOOT!!! I started out super obese (BMI = 46.2), and recently celebrated becoming merely morbidly obese. It's great to hear a success story from someone who used to be in my increasingly-less-overloaded shoes. Congratulations! :) B) :) B) :)
