I think they have one workout posted online that you can try out before you buy to see if you like it or not. I bought them and it was worth every penny.

I do P90X and have other MFP friends that do as well! You will love it. Once you commit and don't quit you will love the results.

You Rock!

I don't worry about them because I think they are set too low. Calories in vs. Calories out for me. I just worry about Protein and Calories.

I go by the week not the day. I have days I am under and days I am over. As long as I meet my calorie goal for the week that is all that matters to me. Life happens. Taco Bell Runs happen. LOL!! Currently March Madness crazy here in Louisville. Go Cards! Which means pizza and beer on the weekends watching games for sure.…

^^^ This. I like to think of my self as a 80/20 girl. 80% of the time I try to eat healthy non processed foods. 20% of the time I like to eat the hell out of some crap. YUM! It all balances out.

Yes, when working out your muscles can retain more water than usual. Also being a female your weight can go up and down daily depending on time of the month. I would just keep doing what you are doing. Drink plenty of water. Only weigh weekly. Don't bank all your success on the scale. Measure weekly and write it down. The…

I started P90X last summer. Love it and still going. I have added P90X+ and Turbo Fire. Just watch it the first few times to listen to Tony coach you through the moves so you are doing them correctly. Plus he gives a lot of tips on modifying the exercises. There are still things I modify. After you feel like you have…

^^^^ Does anyone have an opinion on my question?

I am also confused by this because I use my HRM as well. I always minus 15% from my calorie burn before I log. Someone told me to use it as a tool and not log all calories because you would have been burning some during that time if you were not working out. It has been working for me. I use it for strength training and I…

:( Bless your heart. I wonder if you should try another work out program that does not require as much time until you have more. P90X is a big time sucker. Maybe something that is only 20-30 minutes long on the days you are more crunched for time and then throw in P90X on days where you have more? Sounds like you have a…

Protein. As long as I am in my calorie goal don't worry about the other ones at all.

^^^^^ This!!! and I would also add do not worry about the macro's. I think MFP has them set too low. Calories in vs. Calories out. The only macro I worry about it protein. I try to pack my day full of it so I can try to maintain muscle while eating at a deficit.

Measure weekly. When I first started out the scale did not move much for two months but I was losing 1/2 inch to an inch a week. The scale does not tell the whole story of your success. Also, you will get many opinions on eating back your exercise calories. You will have to choose what is right for you. I sometimes do and…

Mine was when I gained 30 pounds over a year and a half without changing anything. Was diagnosed with Hypo Thyroid problem and realized I would have to change. My doctor told me medication alone would not fix me. It would help but I would need to count calories (suggested MFP) and workout 5-6 days a week 50 minutes or more…

^^ Nailed it.

I have a hypo thyroid as well. My doctor never told me to eat 1,000 calories a day. She did say you will have to count your calories (suggested MFP) and she also said that if regular people can work out 3 times a week you will have to work out 6 and 50 minutes a day or longer.

Love that you used the work Net. Most people talk about 1200 calories is too little, I can't eat 1200 calories, or I am doing just fine on 1200 calories but they never are specific about Net or Gross and they are two separate things. If everyone would explain Net or Gross you we would at least know what we are actually…

Agree on the chocolate milk. As a recovery food I like Cottage Cheese. Breakstones makes one called doubles and it has the fruit on one side and the cottage cheese on the other that you mix. All kinds of choices. Low cal and good protein. Of course I eat two at a time because they are small.

^^ Agree, I was one of those women. I thought the scale measured my success. It was not until I started measuring weekly and seeing that I was losing a 1/2 in to an inch a week( even though the scale was not moving) that the light bulb came on.

Couple of questions. How many hours of sleep to you get a night? Are you taking vitamins? Are you giving your body enough food to give you enough energy for that type of workout program?
-
I started out doing all cardio. I owned P90X but looked at it as belonging to my husband and made for men. The more I read on MFP about weight lifting made me decide to start the program. Weight lifting was the best thing ever and I wish I had started it sooner. My whole body starting changing and the weight actually…

^^^^ Agree. Taking a month off could create a new habit that will make it hard to get back into.
-
I get burnt out very easy if I am doing the same thing day after day after day. Switching up my routine constantly keeps me going. I never want to do the same thing two days back to back. Try switching it up and see if that will help.

Very inspiring post!!!
