Why does it seem that these posts are always an either/or situation? Here's an idea - do both. Love the article, but agree with this. Both have their place. I have seen muscle-bound guys who couldn't run half a mile if someone paid them half a Mil. Gotta have both.

I weigh myself daily. A cardiologist once told me to weigh every day to see how my body is reacting to different foods, exercises, etc. It is a great habit and keeps me from going UP too far on the days you "bounce" upwards.

I don't know anything about the 17 Day Diet, but weight loss is a simple calculation of calories burned and calories consumed. If you eat more than you burn, you gain. You should probably be eating no more than 1150-1250 calories/per day and spend an hour a day exercising and it will come right off.
