  • I personally would be more worried if you had lower back issues, say in your sacrum. There is A LOT of hip work which may cause you issues. I hurt my back last year and my chiropractor adviced me to to stay away from Zumba (and running) as it is a lot of work on my hips and I needed to strengthen my core first. I can still…

  • Thanks for posting this! After my 10k this weekend I'm going to drop my running to 2 days a week and this schedule will work perfectly for me!
  • I am currently on Level 2, and I take rest days. Here is my schedule: Mon-JM 30 DS Tues-JM 30 DS [/quote] How exactly do you log the 30DS under exercise? Is it considered strength or cardio? and is it already listed on the site because I would have no clue as to how many calories I'll be burning. I haven't seen the video…
  • Yeah, it's been said to 'gently exercise' (even an Always ad in the UK says gentle exercise only!) But I've always found that I feel better for exercising even if it's not as hard as I normally work out. Go for it!
  • homemade (I make it on the weekend and freeze it for lunches) Minestrone soup, a quarter of a canteloup and Strawberries and Plain yogurt for later. :) Yummy and Healthy!
  • My first 5K in 5 years was last friday and I completed 8 weeks of training for it. I had to stop and walk 3 times because I was SO hot! I ran it in 35:13 which I was really pleased with. I have a 10km in a week and a half and I'm hoping to complete that in 75 minutes but we'll see, as long as I finish I'll be happy! LOL! I…
  • I've had a quick look at your diary to see if I can see anything obvious. What I would suggest is to eat more natural foods. A LOT, even most of your foods are processed and there is a lot of crap in processed foods. Try making stuff from scratch in your own home. I make a lot of soups and freeze them so I'm able to just…
  • Just remember that normally when you lose weight it is 'First on, Last off'. Just keep working away at your whole body and it'll reduce. You can't spot reduce!
  • A Bald Eagle!
  • Yup! Totally! By Day 3 you feel like you are going to die and then by day four you feel like you can do this and you will keep going! And then it starts all over again when you move up a level! Good luck! It's totally worth it!
  • You can do it! The soreness DOES go away...untill you go up a level. hahaha! I have pictures but I'm in my knicks and don't want to post them :blushing: I did it before I joined MFP and wasn't eating very well. I now use it for Cross training with my running and cycling. I'm still stronger than when I first started…
  • It's really not. You get a book when you join with all the information with it. Once you get your head round how it works it's great because you don't have to count most of your food.

  • Ok. So here is the thing. (after reading some more posts I figure I'll help clarify). There are three types of days Red, Green and Extra Easy. I prefered Extra Easy as well, it was Extra Easy. Extra Easy: Free foods - Potatoes, corn, beans, pasta, rice, quinoa, lean meats, fat free milk products (not milk) Super Free Foods…

  • Slimming world is AWESOME! I'm not sure how it works...but it does! I guess the idea is you can't actually eat that much pasta and rice and potatoes in one sitting. I have done Slimming world and been VERY successful. I was 4lbs from my goal but then moved from the UK and gained all my weight back on fast food because I…

  • Best wash them and then remove them from the stems...then when you fancy something sweet pop one in your mouth. Great to curb a sweet craving!
  • I struggled with EVERYTHING upper body. I found the first circut in Level one the hardest and then in Level two the 3rd circut was definitely the killer...I STILL can't do that full ab workout! But it's upper body that I REALLY struggled with. Saying that. I could only do maybe 2 or 3 pushups when I started and by day 9 I…
  • SW: 162.0lbs GW: 152.0(for April challenge) 4/1: 162.0 4/8: 163.4 (Gain of 1.4 ) 4/15: 160.6 (Weekly loss of 2.8lbs, Total Loss for challenge of 1.4!) 4/22: 4/30:
  • Yup, I have them on my hips and thighs since I was 16. I also have them on my boobs from breastfeeding but none on my stomach. I've heard GREAT things about bio-oil and It worked wonders on my c-section scar. I'm VERY pale and don't tan so no one else notices them and I don't even notice they are there really.
  • You look amazing! AND happy! Well done!
  • As a rule I wouldn't rule out divorced men as I was divorced by the age of 23. But it TOTALLY depends on the circumstances and if I was comfortable with the situation.
  • THIS! I would however, never sleep naked with my son in the bed with us. That just seems wrong somehow.
  • As you can see, you are not alone. I like how I feel when I've been working out, someone I feel taller and slimmer. I do the 30lbs yo-yo and get SO frustrated everytime I gain weight. The benefits of working out outweigh the lazy and gluttonous version of myself. Just try to think of the benefits and focus on one day at a…
  • Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. It's an exercise DVD. I bought mine from Walmart for $5. You can find samples on youtube.
  • keep going! I found by day 3 I wasn't really sore anymore. However...if you just can't bear it, reduce your intensity. If you are using weights, reduce the amount or none at all, your arms may be heavy enough for some of those moves! Don't sit quite so far down in your squats or your lunges. And STRETCH! I stretch for…
  • Change IS hard. If it wasn't we'd all be fit and not need MFP! Don't beat yourself up today is just one day. If you have a dozen roses and one dies, do you throw away the full dozen? If it helps you could eat as you normally do and log that for a week to see where you are making bad choices. I find knowing is half the…
  • Hollow but it's quite thick but the chocolate is to die for! This is what we get our son every year!
  • Nothing! and DH and I had a deal not to buy each other anything. I will eat it all in one sitting...I have no self control and I won't touch my son's goodies...because it's his stuff!
  • 1gr of Saturated fat in one day isn't a big deal. Your Calories are great for the day and it looks like you've reached your goal maybe? I say eat the cake...if you're still unsure, have half a piece. You're doing great!
  • That I have the cutest and most adorable and loving son who I love to bits and pieces!
