i take a hot yoga class. and it burns a ton of calories for me, according to my hrm. however, the reason i started to go was for stress relief. and it worked. and continues to work. having been going for a few months now, i continue to go as it strengthens my core, improves my balance and stretches some seldom used muscles…

i didn't start with a goal weight. i figured at some point i would think i was done losing and switch to maintaining. there have been a few times where i thought i was about 5 pounds away and would tell myself, ok, lose this five pounds then switch modes. but those 5 pounds have been lost, still felt like i should lose…

wow, pretty entertaining thread. don't really have anything to add to it, other than to each his own. from what i've read, seems like someone is looking for useful advice, as we all have. i say useful b/c saying he doesn't have room for barbells will alter the advice given. and for someone to offer the advice of, "buy a…

sounds to me that the biggest adjustment will be the heated room, unless hatha yoga is in a heated room too, which i'm not sure. being new to the hot yoga practice, and attending only 6 or 7 sessions so far, i can tell you it takes multiple sessions to adjust to the heat. and while i thought i got a lot out of the first…
