I attend Bay Area Ren Faire in full costume as a serving wench and my partner has a monk costume (bald head and round belly too!). We go fairly regularly, but are not members of any guilds.

Going out tonight, as a matter of fact. On TOP of going out for lunch with friends. I'm just going to enjoy the day and not worry about it. I don't do it often (maybe once every 3 months), so I plan to enjoy myself!

Something I noticed is that when I was younger (slim and never gained a pound no matter what I ate), I fidgeted a lot. I mean, like shifting foot to foot, jiggling foot, tapping feet and hands, unconsiously moving to songs in my head (aka SPA/NEAT, as described by Steve Troutman). However, over the years, I've stopped…

I've been here for more than 3 years, pretty much non-stop. In that time, I've seen every question asked...many times. I've seen the same answers given....in various ways. And I have learned that: It IS possible to respond to the same questions and issues politely and civilly, even after you've done it 1500 times before.…

I love ALL mine! If I didn't, I'd change them. Monday - compound lifts Tuesday - zumba Wednesday - isolate exercises Thursday - zumba Friday - rest Saturday - compound lifts Sunday - kickboxing

I would be really surprised if you are burning 1000 calories per day. And if you are, maybe you are overstressing your body and need to back off a little. I found that I actually burn about 50-60% of what MFP calculates and then I eat back about half of those. And give yourself some time off, to recover. Also...2 weeks?…

I do the Strong Lifts 5x5 program. 5 compound lifts, with 5 sets of 5 reps. Except deadlift, which is 1 set of 5 reps. No machines other than the squat rack and olympic bar + weights. I have a shoulder injury that prevents pushing heavy things, so the shoulder-type lifts are fairly light until I'm stronger. That said, my…

Hey now. It's not Kneepal either!

I would drink it. I love wine, but alcohol does not love me (and enhances my traces of idiocy!). So I would drink something that looks/tastes like wine, but contains no alcohol. Straight grape juice is too heavy.

Depends on the jeans. I'm 5'5", 149 lbs, size 6 usually, some 4's and some 8's.

I bought a pressurized sprayer that lets me use olive oil like you would Pam. But the quantity is much less than using spoonfuls.

I can only do two days at the moment (or I'd have to do back-to-back days). So, I do Saturday and Monday, 5x5. Wednesday, at home, I do some dumbell work (jump squats, shrugs, etc.) I am much too sore in my glutes and hamstrings and shoulders to do 5x5 consecutively. But it's nice to work some isolated muscles every week…

I was having trouble with this, almost falling over on my face due to leaning foward. I had a guy offer me some advice at the gym, when I was doing the same thing. He gave me two 2 1/2 pound weights and told me to put them under my heels when I squatted. He explained that this would cause me to lean back a bit instead of…

Just finished the Gone series by Michael Grant (5 books-dystopia). Now working on the The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare (6 books-vampires). Also have The Maze Runner series by James Daschner lined up for later. Can you tell I like series?

I like StrongLifts. It's only 5 lifts total, but they're compound and they work all the big muscle groups. The heavier the weight, the longer it takes (more rest between sets), but I can still complete a workout in about an hour, including 5 min run to warmup.

Heh, I thought this was going to be about my chest and my answer was going to be....never again! Sadly...:noway: But, since you are talking about butt cheeks, then the answer is a proud YES! Those squats and deadlifts and the running have paid off. Even though I am 51 yrs old and was terribly out of shape a few years ago.

<<< Metal fan. I actually like all genre's, why limit myself? But sometimes, nothing but some Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Godsmack or Black Sabbath will do. Old school, there. Some newer stuff too. One of my MFP friends is a full-time, touring drummer for a heavy metal band named Impending Doom. They're really good!…

I'm a nice person, but that doesn't mean I tolerate BS from people who are supposedly my friends. I treat them right and they treat me right, or ...there's the door. On the other hand, I don't intentionally hurt people or behave badly. I have high caliber friends, although not too many to count. And I could not care less…

If you set up MFP to INCLUDE fitness related exercises, then no, you would not eat back your exercise calories. But this is not how MFP is designed. The instructions tell you to select your normal daily activity level. This is not assumed to include working out, as working out may be sporadic or random or highly variable…

Puleeeeze. Fox News? Really? They both suck. Terribly and unredeemably. I think AC was simply publicly acknowledging the fact that he is gay, something most of us already knew. The more people stop hiding who they are, the easier it is for the next person to accept themselves as well. Like it or not, public figures are…

I really get offended when people say my plateau of almost a year is because I'm not working hard enough or am eating at "maintenance'. That's bull. And they have no clue how intense my effort is. I work out 6 days a week, 2x zumba, 1x kickboxing, 2x SL 5x5, 1x isolation lifts, 1 rest day. I work two jobs and wear a…

I don't drink. I used to though. I miss it sometimes, but I sure don't miss hangovers, empty calories, or regretting what I did or said the night before. It's been 9 years since I had a drink and 3 years since I smoked a cigarette. I don't mind a bit if others drink however, I go out to happy hour with friends regularly.

31", down from 37" when I started this. I want to get down 2-3 more inches though.

Hmm, to warm up, I do ATG goblet squats on the balance disc while my partner does his normal squat sets. Helps get me stretched out and works my core at the same time.
