  • I'ma guess about 500-600 calories, depending on the thickness of the meat slices. 75 for the salami, 50 for the capicola, 100 for the cheese, 200 for the roll, 100 for the mayo/dressing, and 25 for the veggies/peppers would be my rough estimate. Really can vary a lot depending on size and weight, however.
  • This made me LOL....so why aren't you supposed to use a net? I always use one. The betta fish in question is my 6yr old daughter's. It is so funny, I got it a leaf hammock and it lays in it all day. I thought it was sick at first, because it was always laying on it's side or listing one direction or the other. Fish experts…
  • There is a group for fans of The Walking Dead - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/191-walking-dead-fans Come join us!
  • Welcome!! When I first started, I couldn't do 5 minutes on the elliptical without feeling like I would die. I had no idea what to eat or how much or what was in what I was already eating. But if you are persistant, you'll improve and get better. I made it my goal to increase my elliptical time by 5 minutes every week (I…
  • And (next season) I think the gang of 30 may molest or attempt to hurt Carol, and a ) she will show she's tough instead of a wimp and b ) Daryl will take her side against his brother and gang. I saw him eyeballing her during this show... I dunno, tons of possiblities when the gang shows up.
  • I think the season finale will be everyone holed up in the house with the zombies closing in. Then, the gang of 30 from 5 miles down the road will arrive and dispense with the zombies. But then, this gang of 30 will be even more of a danger than the zombies were...and one of them will be Daryl's brother. Next season would…
  • Make it through the first 3 days and you have it licked. I do mean, those 3 days have to be 100% smoke free. If you take a drag, the 3 days start over. Do whatever it takes to get through those days. I took vacation time and started some beading projects. I used a type of e-cigarette, but no drugs or patches or gum. I had…
  • After reading the Hunger Games trilogy, I looked for something similar and found The Uglies. So far, the first book is very good. The premise is that upon their 16th birthday, all people have surgery to make them physically perfect. Before the surgery, they're considered "Ugly". Well some kids object to this and run away.…
  • Do whatever you like!! If people don't like it, they'll leave. If they don't mind, they'll stick around. And you will still be happy!!
  • I agree with you 100%. If someone asks, I'm more than happy to offer my advice in clear, polite verbage. Too many people, however, think that a couple months on MFP, a few pounds lost, and 3-400 posts mean they now have a license to be condescending, rude, and snarky to anyone who disagrees or has questions. Luckily, most…
  • Lean ground beef w/seasoning, low carb tortilla and loads of lettuce, tomato, onion, black olives, salsa, FF sour cream and jalapenos. Chicken breast browned with lemon, sm baked potato with ff cheese/sour cream, veggie, salad. Fritatta with egg whites, feta cheese, black olives, bacon Just about anything I have for dinner…
  • Hey hey hey now. Where's the monkey at the keyboard pic? That's me.
  • Adding: Sweat is not really an indicator of effort. Some people sweat a LOT and some don't. Genetically, speaking. I sweat a lot, my daughter doesn't sweat at all, not even a tiny bit. Even doing the same zumba class with me and being very hot and tired, not a drop of sweat on this girl!!
  • I do high intensity kickboxing/cardio and have a good day if I can burn 350kc. Zumba usually gets me about 330 calories in an hour. That's just how it is for me and I don't skimp at ALL. I'm up front with the instructor, matching move for move. I plateaued for 8 months because I didn't actually know what I was burning, so…
  • Before. How else will I know how much I am supposed to eat? Srsly, I go way the heck over "guesstimating" my calories.
  • Someone said "pie". I want pie. WHERE'S THE @!(# PIE????? /whimper
  • Again, just because YOU believe something does not make it an unassailable FACT. I strongly believe that unicorn farts and glitter rainbows exist, therefore, this is a FACT. Prove me wrong! Let's "debate" it!!
  • Stating an opinion as fact often gets people's feathers ruffled.
  • I once weighed less than 100 pounds as an adult (20 hour workdays and unable to eat much due to heavy physical job). I was once a catalog model. I can still raise a foot over my head. I intend to reach goals in my 50's that many think are impossible. Even for a much younger woman.
  • You gotta want it and you have to learn to do multiple things at once (multi-task). I work 2 jobs, have 3 kids, a partner, run a website, and several hobbies, such as gardening, sewing, beading, and gaming. Oh and I work out 6 days a week. And sleep a minimum of 6 hours per night. There is very little TV, no sitting around…
  • Planks and hanging leg raises work well for me.
  • I quit smoking in 2009 after 34 years of 2-4 packs a day. I joined a gym and MFP. I lost 15 pounds that year and increased my endurance/stamina and all around health a thousandfold. In 2010, I stalled out because the gym equipment and MFP told me I burned a lot more than I really do during cardio, coupled with inaccurate…
  • I left Tuna off my list, probably because I can't stand it. But it's very high in protein!
  • I use dance shoes (Ryka). They are very flexible and allow me to twist about more easily than my Asic running shoes do.
  • I aim for 30% of my calories to be from protein. For me, that is right around 100g (also works out to be between .8 and 1g per lean bodymass). Chicken Protein bar (think thin is all natural, no sugar) Turkey Ham Shrimp Eggs Almonds Peanut Butter Ezekiel Bread Greek yogurt Edamame nuts Feta Cheese Fat Free Cheese of all…
  • Not fair. Thse made me lol and snort even. My officemate is looking at me funny :blushing:
  • Bump to read later.
  • To me, this is the big deal: It's ok to feed our children nutritionally deficient foodstuffs? And products that were treated with ammonium nitrate - Delicious!! :noway: :grumble:
  • And....McDonald's might not be using pink slime anymore, but our school system is... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/05/pink-slime-for-school-lun_n_1322325.html?ref=mostpopular And that's why I pack my child's school lunch. Ugh...
  • I work out 6 days a week. Cardio/weights/cardio/weights/cardio/weights/rest - it works just fine. I don't even do full body lifting programs, so it's a full week in between upper body days, for example. My three lifting days are chest/back/arms, abs/core, legs/glutes.
