Is it plain, raw fish? Or prepared fish? Regardless, usually the weight is the defrosted, unpackaged product. So, I'd say that refers to the defrosted weight. Still quite a bit of calories for the 100g.

I always have a goal article of clothing in my closet. So far, I've met and surpassed many of these goal clothing pieces. I even zoomed right past a pair of jeans, I forgot they were there. Never did get to wear them, now they're 2 sizes too big. My motivational pieces have been (all are met): * A large bin of 'skinny'…

I sent you a friend request :flowerforyou:. What has helped me to be fairly successful is the following: * I work out 6 days a week, with one rest day. * I eat food I like, but as dense and nutritionally complete as possible. I work in a treat at least once a day, even if only a couple of dark chocolate kisses. * I don't…

I have a routine that I created myself, and lost 12 1/2 inches in 3 months doing it (only 8 lbs though). Last week, I switched to StrongLifts 5x5 and we'll see how that goes. The reason is that I want to use more compound lifts and fewer isolated ones as well as to use a plan that my partner will participate in. Another…

That's funny! I love them and hubby hates them!

They have calories. The energy it takes to chew and digest them is part of your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure). For weight loss purposes, you need to count them.
-
If you go into goals (home > goals tab), MFP will ask you a series of questions to help set this number for you. Then stick to it for a while and see how it works out.

I avoid the ones made in a laboratory. I also avoid the synthetic ones added to the earth, plants and animals themselves. But you feel free to indulge :flowerforyou:

You feel free to do so. I'll avoid them like the plaque, myself. No thanks to HFCS, BHT, or most of those other 'added vitamins and flavorings and preservatives'. Just eat real food, no need to have artificial nutrients added to your food. :drinker:

Well, there is debate on this. Technically, it's calories in vs calories out, so eat whatever you want as long as it fits your calories. That said, processed and fast foods are very high in calories so you wn't get much and you'll end up hungry quicker. Protein takes longer to be digested, so you stay full longer, veggies…

Any exercise that you really enjoy, that keeps you coming back for more, will work. I love zumba and do two classes a week.

You're not wasting your time, but I do recommend that you lift the heaviest weight you can manage while doing 3 sets of 8 repetitions each. You should be nearly unable to complete the final set. If you find it's easy, then up the weight a bit. I've done lighter and heavier is definitely more effective. :flowerforyou:

Every day for several years. I only count the new lows, however.

I have one. A Fitbit is mostly useful for determining your all around activity level for calorie calculations. It is not terribly accurate with certain exercises such as kickboxing, cycling, or other non-step type activities. A BodyMedia Fit will also give you your daily activity levels. A HRM is not designed to tell you…

One of the biggest reasons people don't lose weight when they think they should is they miscalculate their calories. Use the MFP diary/log and input every single thing you put into your mouth, including water. Yes, veggies, fruit, ketchup, salad dressing, butter, almonds, bites off your bf or child's plate as well as every…

My daughter doesn't sweat. She says she feels hot and tired, but no sweat. She goes out skateboarding in 95 degree, bright sunlight and never sweats a drop. Zumba class for an hour? No sweat. She just doesn't. I, on the other hand, sweat enough for both of us!

Job 1 - I work normally 45 hours per week. THere was a time when I worked 80, but they got more reasonable. Certain times, I have more hours and some, I have a straight 40. Rare, though. Job 2 - I work an average of 10 hours per week (weeknights or weekends, I pick one or the other). Total of 55 hours per week, more or…

Eek! Netting 300-700 calories a day...yikes! You aren't fueling your workouts adequately. Food is not just something to make the hunger pangs go away and taste good. Food contains all of the building blocks and resources needed in order to operate our brain, heart, lungs, stomach, muscles, and regenerate hair, skin, etc.…

I have never burned 1000 calories in a workout. Ever. My heartrate just doesn't ever get really up there, no matter how hard I push it. I come out of my 60 minute zumba class drenched all over, dripping sweat, beet red, panting like I've gone a round with Mike Tyson...and have only burned 330 calories. Even running, I can…

Yes, and I have for the last 8 years. I actually prefer big, as long as they're also healthy. Unhealthy, with little care for their body...no thanks.

Not hungry? What's that??? I budget in snacks that I can look forward to and count on having...if only I resist all the unscheduled, unhealthy, unplanned things.

My spouse and my three pillows. Occasionally, my very old cat will hobble upstairs and curl up with me. My D6 slept with us frequently until last year, but man she tosses and turns and keeps me up...so she got banished to her own room. My shorkie is forbidden from coming upstairs as he thinks the carpeting is a pee-pee pad…

Oh goodness!! Our food doesn't turn into fat overnight and glom onto our thighs! It takes time for you to accumulate enough extra food to gain a single pound of fat. The reverse is also true. You eat at a deficit and eventually it will add up to 3500 calories, which is one pound of weight. At some point AFTER this 3500…

I'm from the Smoky Mountains of north Georgia - aka Appalachia. The first thing most people ask me when they find this out is...how come you don't have a twangy accent? (Because I traveled around the world and spent years living with people with different accents). The Appalachian dialect is not a sign of illiteracy…

Maybe that's true, but it shouldn't be (imo). I don't make fun of fat b*astards, either. My partner calls himself that now and then and it makes me

I think...if someone uses another person's photo as a profile pic or in a post, it is usually for one of 2 reasons. 1 - to honor and to indicate a desire to emulate that person. Or 2 - to mock and belittle and to indicate a desire to NOT be like that person. The first is a compliment and the second....is not. I think it…
