I dreaded the first time I had to do the first 20 minute run. I put it off for weeks redoing the previous week. What got me through it was when I finally said to myself, "I will do what I can and if I need to walk some of it, so be it, I at least need to give it a try." So I just went ahead and gave it a try and before I…

I try to save some calories for my night time snacking as I do like to have something at night. However, if I start to get hungry early on in the night I have a glass of Blue Diamond Chocolate Almond Milk (the light one at 45 calories a glass) and I find that curbs some of my cravings until I do have my snack later on.

That is awesome! Congrats on finishing the program!! I have one week left and am loving it as well.

Congrats!

I just started buying Silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk. It has 30 calories in a cup and 2.5 grams of fat. The first sip made me cringe a little but I started adding sweetener to it and now I love it. I'm on my second carton. At the same price as regular milk, ($4.00 for 2 litres) I think I'm a convert.

I've been hypo since I was about 10 and get blood work done once a year to check my levels. Every couple of years my dose needs to be changed, sometimes up, sometimes down. When I had my yearly blood work done in April of this year it was found that my dose was too low (this was while I had been trying to lose weight) so…

I went to repeat week 7 day 3 yesterday and felt so good while doing it that I ended up jogging for 30 minutes instead of 25 minutes. What a difference a couple of days makes! Now I can't wait for tomorrow so that I can do it again! Mind you I jog on relatively level terrain, staying away from hills for the time being. I'm…

64 pounds down and my feet are still a gigantic size 11 wide. :( I wish they would get smaller. I have another 50 pounds I'd like to lose so maybe then?

I was size 22 and after losing 64 pounds I'm a loose 18 and just fitting into she 16s. I'm 5"9 so maybe height has something to do with it? I haven't gone down many sizes and didn't really notice a difference at all until I had lt about 40 pounds. I want to lose another 30 pounds in the short term (in the next year) and…

I did week 8 day 1 today and I found it very hard. I have been doing well with the 25 minute runs but this 28 minute run was harder. I was running against super high winds and it just beat me out. I think I'm going to repeat a few days of week 7 again and then give week 8 another go. I do enjoy it though. I get such a…

I'm on week 7 day 3 and I'm getting to like it more and more everyday as I progress further. I stalled a bit right before I was supposed to do the dreaded week 5 day 3, 20 minute run. I was dreading it thinking I'd never be able to do it, so I repeated the other days multiple times. Finally, I decided to try it and said to…

I was staying at a cabin recently with friends and we had old fashioned bbq potato chips. I swear it was like they were handing me crack in a bag. I have to stay away from that stuff.

Ketchup is the only condiment I could never give up. After having tried all the brands out there as well, Heinz is the only brand for me. I don't have it on everything but there are some things that cannot go without ketchup either. Heh heh

I get excited about cooking vegetables. Before, I rarely ate vegetables and even then I wasn't fussy on most of them. I think I've acquired a better taste for them plus I also get excited researching new recipes. It's nice to crave something healthy for a change :)

I have found lately that I have been falling off the wagon on weekends (food wise), more so than I had been previously. I need to reign that in a bit. So far I've been lucky that I've still been losing even when I've fallen off the wagon (still staying within my weekly calorie goal) but as I get closer to my goal I…

Here we call it turnip but there's a recipe I love for turnip puff. Mind you I haven't adapted it since I've changed my lifestyle to be more healthy but I'm sure you could use low calorie margarine, egg whites and a few other things to make it healthier: http://www.food.com/recipe/turnip-puff-13473 As well I hate nutmeg so…

Feel free to add me, my diary is open. I don't eat perfectly and I do have treats but I do try to generally incorporate healthier alternatives in my meals. So far it's been working for me.

I noticed that with the Endomondo app as well. I use a heart rate monitor with a chest strap and when I have finished a walk, Endomondo over estimates my calories burned by almost double. I'm glad I use a HRM too, hopefully that is more accurate :)
