As a note, this is my 2 month Anniversary - I had surgery on August 3.

Just adding some new stats here. 1st month -lost 18 lbs 2d month - lost 12 Some fun numbers - my fat percentage during that time went from 53.6% to 48.7%. This number is the most volatile of my measurements, but it's a clear downhill trend. (See pic) I've lost 6 inches off my hips and 2 off my waist. I'm a total pear…

Welcome all of you! I just had sleeve on August 3, and today is my two month anniversary. What a difference it has made. Feel free to friend me.

April731- you are inspirational!
-
Yes, it gets much easier. Good luck on Monday, and keep in touch that first week. It's the hardest.
-
2poufs - you might just surprise yourself. Anbrdr - I believe you can do it. I was never able to do pull-ups, either.

Very inspirational!

I have two BHAGs: (1) to weigh 135 lbs. Last time I weighed that amount, I was 12. But, this would put me into the "normal" BMI range, and not overweight. (2) Run a half marathon. I don't think I've been able to run more than a quarter mile ever. Period.

October 1: SW 227 October 31: GW 212 (wow, can I do that -- yes I can!) I'll hit Onederland by Thanksgiving! 1. Go to gym 3 x / week 2. average 11,000 steps/day 3. NO HALLOWEEN CANDY. None. Period. Absolutely no.

Marta, glad I can help. Just return the favor next time I'm discouraged.

Marta, I had surgery just before you. On Saturday, I will be 2 months out. In the last month, I've lost 12.5 pounds, which would be pretty discouraging. But, my scale also measures what percentage of my body is fat. And, from that, I can calculate that I've gained lean body mass and/or water during that time. Which makes…

Yay! Great! We are here for you.

My rant: I used to really enjoy eating out at restaurants- now it is such a pain! I'm vegetarian, and I eat some fish. Trying to find something on a menu that (a) I can digest, (b) is healthy, and (c) that I want to eat is impossible. In addition, I really wish portion sizes were smaller - if I find something that fits the…

Losing 20 lbs a month is hard- your body probably doesn't want to lose that fast. But, look at the great success you have had. 19.4 is nothing to sneeze at. Also, did the doctor specifically recommend Ensure? Just for variety, you might want to see if you can have other brands and sourced.

We'll be thinking of you.

You may want to try Spirutein - it's not whey based. And, you can buy individual serving packets, so you don't need to invest in a big can. It's a little gritty, but taste good mixed with a banana or other fruit and some non-dairy milk.

Great news!

I do the same, but it is with Isopure unflavored. I like it in the mango passion fruit flavor of the crystal light drops.

Monday! Wow, that's fast! Yay!

If your body lets you, don't worry about it. These types of slippy foods go through pretty easy. As I moved to thicker foods, they didn't move through fast at all.

Do you mean in one sitting? I remember that there was a point, probably 4 or 5 days in, that it became much easier to drink.

This is a picture of the lentil soup I made today. It was more of a stew, and super garlic-y
-
Janet - you and I are both in a autumn soup frame of mind. I'm making this Lentil Soup recipe for dinner . I would love the recipe for pumpkin protein brownies

That is great! I had sleeve August 3-feel free to friend me

Great job!
-
So exciting! Welcome to the group. Which surgery are you considering? I had the sleeve on August 3.
-
Welcome, and I totally understand the wanting to go zip lining thing.

Have you tried Nioxin and Rogaine? Are you taking Biotin? I have female pattern baldness, and these products make a big difference for me.

Yay! Good for you. The two things I was happiest to have at the hospital: ear plugs and an eye mask, so that I could sleep.
