I weigh in every moring right after getting out of bed but I only record my weight on Friday morning.

Congratulations on your success so far. I think you'll find that the mfp community is very helpful!

Great job!!!!! Keep it up!!!

Learn to surf and maybe train for a half-marathon :-)

Im another one that loves to eat! Using the mfp site has made it really easy to lose weight and still eat the foods I love (in moderation). Try modifying some of your recipes and eating smaller portions. The portion control has really helped me. Exercise is also a great way to get some extra calories so you can eat some of…

Welcome! This is a great site and you find lots of encouragement and resources here to help you!

I didn't have any of those issues when I started. Did you drastically change what or how much you ate?

What they said  I will echo the idea of being honest with you what you record in the diary and being careful to measure your food and servings. Working out has been a big part of it for me. It allows you to eat more and still lose weight. Good luck and feel free to have your hubby add me as a friend, I've got almost…

I love fatty foods to so I make sure I have something every week and still stay within my calories...I go out for a burger and fries or somthing like that. I just don't do it every night anymore. I'm not sure there's an easy answer for your question but I'd say set up a way of eating that you can live with. I would also…

I agree with the idea of adjusting the rest of your day. When I know I'll be going out I try to add exercise also, makes a pretty big difference in what you are able to eat. Don't give up, today is a new day.

I started by just walking for 30 minutes a day. After a few weeks I started to feel pretty good and decided to join a gym. The first couple weeks at the gym were pretty hard for me. I had let myself get weak and out of shape , so when I started to work out I really felt it. After 2 months of doing cardio 5 days a week and…

I started at 278 and my goal is 185....so...90ish :-(

Not sure. My weight goal is 185 pounds and I get 1800 calories a day. I can't imagine eating less than that. On most days I exercise and eat around 2500. I guess it's fine as long as your taking in the amount of calories your body needs but I'd be careful about eat too few. At 1200 to 1400 are you even eating your bmr in…

Make sure you eat the calories you burn from exercise or you'll end up starving yourself and holding onto weight. Measure yourself also. My wife lost inches of her waist and hips before she dropped her first pound.

I tend to save calories to eat in the evening because I know I love to snack after dinner. As far as eating my exercise calories, I eat every one. I started my fitness program prior to starting fitness pal so I've managed to lose 30lbs so far doing this. Like a previous poster I take one meal a week and eat whatever I want…

I read an article talking about extra calcium also helping in weight loss. I think it was in muscle and fitness magazine.

I lost 20lbs before I started using the mfp site so I could go back but It wasn't as easy doing it on my own. The motivation from the community is really excellent and the features are really easy to use. I feel like a had a realization about my weight and fitness prior to joining mfp and that won't go away without the…

Subway can be decent if you pick the right sandwich and the right size. I also like panda express...lot of salt but they have healthy options and you can skip the noodles and white rice and get veggies. Not sure if what you mean "healthy". Are you looking for low cal and good for you or just low cal? Another poster…

Are you doing your weigh in on the same day and at the same time each week? I usually see a 4-5 pound difference even over a few day period? I always weigh in on Friday morn before breakfast. I have even seen a 2 pound difference later in the same day.

I just ate some peanut butter and bread. I just make sure I have it 1tbls at a time.

It could be that 1200 calories is not enough. If you're getting a lot of excercise it's almost definitely not enough. It might seem like a good idea to just eat the 1200 calories but if you burn off calories in exercise you need to increase your food intake or your body will think you're starving it and hold onto weight.…

Welcome to my fitness pal (mfp)! You'll find plenty of support and information here! Don't be afraid to ask questions, its a very helpful community.

I think the body is strange about where it loses fat from. I started out in a size 40 jeans...I have lost 23 pounds (I started before I put my mfp profile up also) but I have not gone down a size in pants yet. Almost...but not quite. I guess what I'm saying is...don't worry about it. You've lost a lot of weight and should…

Welcome to the boards. I really like to snack after dinner!!! Here's a few things I did to help myself. 1. I adjust my meals so I have some calories left for the evening. 2. Exercise a little more so I have some extra calories. 3. I changed my evening snacks. I used to eat a ton of heavy food at night, now I eat greek…

Your calorie intake is based on your present weight and your goal weight. While 1200 calories a day might be right for some people it's probably not right for you. Think of the food you eat as fuel, if you short change your body you'll not only slow down your weight loss but it could also be unhealthy. There is no one size…

From everything I've read and from what I was told by a trainer you can't lose fat from specific areas. You just gotta continue to lose weight and it'll come off there eventually! Keep it up!

Welcome to the site! You'll find lots of support and good information here. Put me on our friends list if you'd like. Best of luck!

Pushing the baby definitely counts. My wife did this with our son and it really helped her. Walking for an hour can burn off alot of calories, especially when you're pushing a little one! Good luck!!!

I read a book by a trainer named Tom Venuto and he mentions a thing that he calls the "90/ 10 rule" The way he describes this is that if you do the right thing as far as eating with 90 percent of your meals you can have a meal where you eat what you want. Some diets call this a "cheat" meal, he calls it a "free" meal, I…

Only time I've heard of them being used is for fighters and wrestlers that want to make weight. They put the weight right back on after weigh in...you lose all water as far as I know. I wouldn't do it.
