  • Just bought and read New Rules of Lifting for Women. Can't wait to start strength training after i finish my round of Insanity. I'll check back when I start!
  • i'm starting on Monday! I love the feedback here! Thanks for sharing everybody!! Now I'm getting excited to start.
  • I had the same issue with my coffee. I was able to stop using sugar of any variety by switching my creamer. I can't give that up and so by killing two birds with one stone, its myone daily indulgence. Look for Coffeemate liquid Italian Sweet Cream... it has no more sugar than any other flavor, but yet it is so delish that…
  • I used to skip breakfast, but when I moved to get my protein level up between 120 -150 grams a day, I found that had to change. As a vegetarian, I have had to stretch to get to 100 as it is but a quick and easy breakfast for me has been oatmeal with protein powder mixed in. Its actually pretty yummy, and I can pair it with…
  • Get the Fitbit. It's amazing. I love mine and am never without it. I like that it also tracks how well I sleep, since I don't get much of that! It is an awesome device though. Small and discreet, tracks steps, calories burned, mileage walked, stairs climbed, has a stop watch function, and also has encouraging memos. So…

  • Bring an extra bottle of water and offer it to her, ask her to spot you, smile at her and stay hello when you are passing by, be genuine and sweet and she'll notice you too. If you frequent the gym a lot and so does she, you'll get to know her. Just pick a girl you like and try not to mack on the whole gym. A girl wants to…

  • You will be ok, this time. You have probably been depriving yourself of treats. We had a cookout at work today, and I took a little corner of a brownie to have a taste- about a 1/4 portion. It satisfied the craving. If I had ignored them all together, then the next time I came across an inviting pan of fresh brownies, I…
  • I totally agree. I can't imagine ever not doing this in the future. I often prelog items that are guaranteed items for the day, so that I can look at my ratios and make smarter lunch choices. I have to know what I am eating and what effect it will have on my day, before I eat it. If I don't like what it does to my log, I…

  • I don't cook unless it's for someone else. My meals are made in under 5 minutes when I'm flying solo. The microwave is my best friend! I love to whip up a good protein smoothie though. I'll splurge and spend about 7 minutes on that. :)
  • I swear by Gladiator, by Smoothie King. 45 g protein, 0 carb, only 180 calorie and delicious! I have atleast one per day if not more!
  • Yes! But I missed the beginning while I was out hiking, so now I have to wait until tomorrow when its on Hulu. Torture!
  • ^^^ this! Awesome that you took the time to make something homemade. Children really do remember that stuff. You are obviously a great, caring parent! I think Paleo took it out of context and perhaps over-reacted. The suggestion to promote healthy choices is a great one, but for another occasion. A small child's birthday…
  • Just came back from seeing it. Liked it but was slow in a few spots - or I am just tired today. Some cool effects. Don't regret seeing it though, so give it a chance.
  • I wouldn't recommend only eating Special K but I do like their products and think their cereal and high protein bars are delicious. I usually have one bowl of Special K cereal everyday as an evening snack. That's usually when I have calories to use up from the day. As a vegetarian, I was concerned with my iron level which…
  • Absolutely!! I want to be wherever my partner is. I don't care where that may be. Done the long distance thing and it sucks. I have the strength to deal with anywhere, if the guy is worth it! Just make sure he's the right guy before you pick up and move. He should be willing to do the same for you if circumstances allowed.…
  • I track mine... its how I remember to take them! :)
  • I have no issues finding healthy meals when dining out, but I do prefer to date fit or active men. I keeps me motivated and I love being able to enjoy an active lifestyle together. It makes the journey to be fit everyday that much more second nature! I can't date men that are less active than me, even if I prioritize…

  • Vegetarian for 22 years, and since joining mfp and meeting you wonderful peoples I am now strongly considering a vegan lifestyle also. I love that I am not alone with this, and it is so inspiring and helpful to learn how everyone navigates the vegan diet!

  • I am a newbie, but I am down to try this out. I'll go for a first month goal of 110 miles. Thanks for the challenge!
  • I am with you. I hardly ever drink fluids throughout the day. My morning coffee takes me 2 hours atleast to get down. I have tried crystal light, sun tea, mio etc... Lately the only thing that has helped me is a mind over matter attitude. I got the 1 liter size bottle from Evian and I make myself drink 2 refills per day -…

  • Thank you for sharing the recipe! And, hopefully all the supportive, helpful people find you! :)
  • I also have a MIO watch but recently got a Fitbit and I couldn't be more thankful. I LOOOOVE it! It automatically syncs with MFP also, which makes it so seamless and easy to use. Combined, you can really get a great overview of your overall day and progress, including sleep issues. The Fitbit is also very motivating and…
