  • Wonderful story and goals! Good luck to you both.
  • I weigh nakie too, first thing every morning after using the restroom.
  • I tried cutting to below 1200 and was hungry and irritable. Now I try and stay right around that number which, of course, is my MFP number. Seems to be working thus far.
  • Thanks for the advice! I have never tracked my sugar so I guess I will start there. I know I have a weakness for sweets and breads. My main focus has always been fat and calories. Thanks again, this gives me a new avenue to pursue.
  • I never thought of pumpkin pie spice, I bet that is really tasty!!!

  • I recently gave up coffee too, still a little sad about that! I have been drinking lots of hot tea, though not Green tea. I will definitely give that a try. Thanks.
  • I love oatmeal with fresh blue berries or just with cinnamon and a packet of Truvia. Yum!!

  • Anything sweet or anything salty! I don't even buy Jalapeno Kettle Chips anymore because I will eat them ALL. I used to have the mind set that, well it's almost gone, I might as well finish the bag and then I'll do better tomorrow. Only tomorrow there was always something else. It was a hard habit to break!
  • I'm in about the same age group and also lost 3 pounds in my first 10 days! It's definitely motivational to see the numbers decline. I'm shooting for 20 to 25 pounds so we are on the same road it seems. Good Luck!

  • I struggle with the same problems. I love, love, love sweets and salts and there were times I would plow threw an entire bag of chips or jelly beans! What works for me is drinking a lot of liquids, I drink a lot of hot tea. That warm feeling in my belly makes it feel fuller. Also one that really fills me up and suppresses…
  • You are definitely right about the weight coming off slower the older we get. I'm 45 and every ounce I can get off feels like a victory. I have always loved sweets AND salt. I don't monitor my sodium, but just concentrate on fat and calories. I've been on the site for 10 days and lost nearly 2 pounds so far, thanks to…
  • Hello! I have been on the site for 10 days now and I love it. I've found some really great and supportive friends on here. I'm trying to lose 20-25 pounds. I hear you about spring!!!!! I NEED to get outside and I'm always much more active in the summer. Add me if you like!
  • Vanity carries 36 and 37 inch inseam and they are very reasonably priced.
  • I think its mostly the habits we get used to and the food prep we get used to. It can be a lot of fun to cook healthy and to cut out as much fat as possible and still end up with a delicious meal. Try reaching new healthy recipes and remember it never happens overnight, it takes about three weeks to make a new habit stick.…
  • Thanks for sharing your story, its definitely motivating. Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Thanks so much!
  • Hi! I'm always happy to make new friends, I'm new as well. I have a sedentary job and it has taken its toll, time to start getting active and trying to eat healthier.
  • HI!! I just joined also. I'm 45 with two grown children, one grandbaby (too cute for words!!!) I'm having a little trouble getting motivated but hoping this spring will get me moving more!
