Mine was a fitness plan. 13y o me in "sauna shorts" of inflatable green rubber, jumping rope in my garage on 100plus degree days.

I had pre malignant polyps too, so the prep was worth it. Crystal light lemonade flavor in the prep mix helped

In my part of CA, it's not that cold, but my schedule has kept me out of the gym. Doing T25 before work and loving it.

From my own experience, not drinking for a while plus not much to eat all day means the alcohol hits me hard and fast. I'd say eat high protein, low carb today, enjoy tonight, and get back to normal tomorrow. It's a lifestyle change and we have to have some fun.

Please add me, too. I love to be active, but I love to eat, too. Need some inspiration to get back into my work clothes before school starts next month.

I pity the groom. We can only imagine what she expects of him.

Lisa to teacher: I got an A++? Teacher (tasting paper): No, the second plus is Drambuie. I was grading during lunch.

My body is in California, but my heart will always be in OK - Wilburton, 30 miles from the state penitentiary.

I had success with Weight Watchers and even worked for them for a short time. But, it's easy to make unhealthy choices and still stay within point limits. I ate a toaster pastry every morning for breakfast on Weight Watchers. Now I have oatmeal and fruit.

My husband and I have quinoa several times a week, usually by adding homemade lentil or garbanzo soup and grilled chicken to cooked quinoa and heating it all. I put 15 -bean soup over cooked quinoa yesterday and it was great. If we're super-busy, we use a madras lentil packet from Trader Joe's.

Really taste the food, skip the stuff that's not so good, and enjoy what you like. The cruise I went on had tons of food, but most of it wasn't very good.

Wow, if you can stop a 30-year smoking habit, you can do anything. I can relate to filling empty time with food. Finding exercise I enjoy helped. Best wishes to you on your journey.

My husband makes a similar dish but uses quinoa instead of rice.

Can't believe no one's mentioned Hillbilly Handfishing yet.

unsweetened applesauce for the liquid, (add a bit of water if needed) apple pie spice, walnuts

Zumba just makes me smile. It doesn't feel like exercise.

My husband makes it like rice - 2 to 1 ratio water to quinoa. Then we add whatever meat and veggies are in the fridge and it's dinner.

I'm glad someone started a teacher thread again. My husband and I teach at the same school and brown bag 99% of the time. Often, it's homemade soup and sandwich or leftovers like lentils. Before we were married, he gained 30 lbs. eating in the cafeteria. The break room is no problem for me. I just imagine everyone's…

I have zumba shoes from Nike and I love them. They are very light and flexible, but supportive.

I lost most of my weight several years ago when I was going through a terrible time with a teen daughter and relationship problems of my own. Like you, I am an emotional eater, but I decided that I couldn't control my daughter or my husband, but I could control what went into my mouth. So I sort of lost weight despite (…

This sounds great - can't wait to try it. Btw, I like to substitute unsweetened applesauce for the liquid when I make stovetop oatmeal with rolled oats.

Me, too, except citrus. I have a little protein with it, a little PB on a 1/2 banana or apple or a pre-portioned cheese like Baby Bel, and that helps.

I hate every minute, but push-ups and burpees have made a huge difference for me, in addition to weight training.

Thanks for the inspiring post. It's good to hear about lifestyle changes and health benefits in addition to the weight loss.

I can do a bootcamp with people less than half my age and not ever give up. I can do an hour of zumba then do a bootcamp-style class immediately afterward. Yeah, the scheduling stinks.

I can't believe how good that felt.
