Me, too, except citrus. I have a little protein with it, a little PB on a 1/2 banana or apple or a pre-portioned cheese like Baby Bel, and that helps.
  • Funny, citrus is the only fruit that makes me hungry. Oh, and you know what else makes me feel really hungry... coffee. Something about the acid in it, I think.

Try eating your fruit with a few nuts. Will slow down the blood sugar spike and be less likely to make you feel hungrier after. Plus nuts are so good for you... I read a study that people who eat nuts at least 4 days a week live 2 years longer than those who don't. I think almonds are supposed to be especially good.

Bananas are more filling so try those. Or after eating fruit drink a glass of fruit juice as well.

Interesting....I thought I was the only one. I get very hungry -- not just munchy, but actual hunger -- after eating any kind of fruit. I may try the almonds with it next time.

As one poster noted the simple carbohydrates (your fruit sugars) cause insulin spikes only making you feel more hungry. I eat my fruit with something to keep me from starving!

It is the sugar in the fruit that is causing you to be hungry after. If you are more sensitive to this (some people get affected, some don't), definately try eating with nuts, or another protien or switch to a lower sugar fruit (berries or one that is available in your area).

    Good luck.
