You are a workout newbie! Don't expect to be able to do everything right off the bat. Just because it says "30" day shred doesn't mean you have to do it in 30 days. You can lose weight and possibly decrease the size of your arms some, but without weights it will still be just flab. I strongly suggest you use weights!!!

Guys, which do you prefer? Is long hair sexier than short hair? Does it matter? I have super short hair. (I have an aversion to hair in general). I keep it shaved in the back. My stylist uses a #3 guard. My mother HATES it. I get compliments tho. So which is sexier? Is there a preference?

bump I saw my doc last week and he suggested rowing for me. He's young...and attractive...and he rows. We have a lot of rowing teams in OKC believe it or not. I just imagine my arms bulking up to look like a man! Maybe I should look into it tho...

I've been hearing my left knee make some noises during the dvd. I hope I'm not injuring myself.

I just figured my TDEE (3894) and my BMR (1674). I'm consuming 1200...a little more with exercise cals.

At 1200 calories, I have to eat back my exercise cals! 1200 is not easy to stick by. I dont' even know what TDEE is.

I have @ 30lbs more to lose. I've lost 50 in the last year, mostly due to Atkins/low carbs. I had my calories set at 1520 but I wasn't losing there either. I just decreased to 1200 @ a week ago. I was 196 lbs in November. I'm currently fluctuating between 203 and 205. I'm 5'8".

Y'all, I'm so frustrated. Prior to 30DS I was doing JM's kettle bell / Shred it With Weights dvd. I also would incorportate cardio via the treadmill and or bike. I haven't lost any weight since last November although I have gone down a clothing size since then. I see you all talking about weight you've lost with the 30DS.…

I'm on day 6. I think I can tell a difference already. I took measurements before I started and will take them again at the end. Jillian doesn't bother me. And in the video when she says "don't turn off the dvd" she is talking to me, because I really wanted too! Good luck!

I'm 5'8" and a size 12. My belly is flat but my thighs are thick. I would probably wear a size 9 if not for my thighs. It drives me nuts at times but then other times I embrace my curves. I'm trying to tone the thighs...at the very least) so that they look good in short shorts this summer. I think I could live with them…

I just started yesterday as well. My arms were already so sore before I did day 2 tonight. Now I'm reaching for the prescription strength motrin. I'm afraid to get up tomorrow as well. Girl, I'm on day 2 of level 1 and my arms are jello. I'll tell ya, I don't make it thru every single exercise. I have to stop and catch my breath some, but I think I did a little better today than I did yesterday. Let's not give up (and trust me I think about it during my workout). We can do it!!

My arms are SOOO sore from the sideways lunges and arm raises combo she has us do. OUCH! And I've been doing her Shred it With Weights dvd for a month. I'm hoping it gets easier quickly!
