  • Last year I wore a 30 day monitor because my doctor was being overly cautious about me having lots of headaches and dizziness, from a sinus infection. All looked good. So if I do a lot of cardio will it drop even more????
  • Today my BP was 108/67 this morning before going to work. This afternoon at my follow up doctors appointment they took it again and said it was 140/100! The doctor asked how I had been feeling, so I told her that while I was active I felt OK, but that when I would sit down I sometimes felt very light headed. She said to…
  • I am not sure on my sodium intake. There for a while I was eating about half a bag of chips at night before bed. I have cut that out, so hopefully that will make a difference with the sodium. I just took my BP again, and now I am down to 112/75. The feeling crappy part of the meds has started, hopefully this will pass. I…
  • Any suggestions on a good decongestant/antihistamine that won't up my BP? I suffer from terrible allergies.
  • After two days of taking Lisinopril 10mg once a day, I am certainly seeing the effects in my BP. I my BP this morning was down to 117/75. I am kind of surprised that it is acting so quickly. My resting pulse has always been pretty slow. Is there any significance in this? My resting pulse is always between 56-64.
  • We had quit going to the gym when my wife got pregnant about six months ago, and I had put on 20 lbs. I finally got a new elliptical set up in our house. As of this morning, I have started my old routine of running 45-60 minutes every day. I also started on the Lisinopril this evening, so hopefully the combination of the…
  • My mother-in-law had the cough issue, and couldn't even get a good nights rest. She later changed to another medication, and hasn't had an issue since. My doctor checked it herself, the only thing they do that seems a little off, is that they were talking to me and had me laughing while they were taking it. They also just…
  • I have have kept log books in the past over several weeks. My BP usually hangs around the mid 120s/low to mid 80s when I am not taking anything for allergies. I tried BP meds once before, but only for a week because they made me feel like crap. I was light headed and felt like I was going to pass out frequently. Maybe I…
  • Forgot to mention that I take Benadryl and Sudafed for allergies, and sinus congestion, though the doctor didn't think that was an issue, but online it mentions that they may increase BP slightly.
  • I have been trying to eat a lower carb diet, but it is hard, as I absolutely love biscuits, rolls, and breadsticks. If I let myself, I can down 10 breadsticks at Olive Garden. It surprises me how hard it seems to be to eat low carb at fast food places. Simply cutting out french fries has helped me a lot, and I don't really…
  • I forgot to mention all the soda I would drink. During the summer I would get the 64 oz. mugs full of Dr. Pepper, and finish one off about mid-day. Back then I had to be eating 5000 calories a day.
  • I have found the waist size reduction keeps me going through the long spells where the scale isn't budging.
  • You look great in your picture. I think some people are just hyper-sensitive about weight because they are insecure themselves. They look for anything they can to pick at.
