Hi Kara, Welcome to MFP. I'm 54 and looking to lose 15-20 pounds. I'm from upstate NY. Please feel free to send me an invite. Joanne

Thanks for the advice. I'm looking for another Leslie DVD.

I just made these baked asparagus fries last weekend. I substituted low fat mayo for the mayo, and they were great. I found the recipe on the PBS Parents' Kitchen Explorer site so it is "kid-friendly." http://www.pbs.org/parents/kitchenexplorers/2015/01/01/asparagus-fries/ Note: If these stick around long enough to have…

Many of my friends dropped out over the past year so you are welcome to add me, Tony.

It's great that you are ready to make a change that will benefit both you and your family. Please feel free to add me as a friend me. During my adult life I've weighed in at everywhere from 125 to 160 pounds (I'm about in the middle of that range right now) so I know where you are coming from.

Actually I did 2 work outs today. On Sundays I usually do a 4 or 5 mile workout. I got up later today since I did not sleep well the previous night. I did 3 miles from the Ultimate 5 Day Walk Plan first thing in the morning, and then later on in the day I did the last 2 miles on the 5 Mile Fat Burner DVD.

I made my goal of 60 with 6 days left! Week 1: 11 miles Week 2: 18 miles Week 3: 12 miles Week 4: 19 miles I'm going to try for another 8-10 by the 31st. Good luck on reaching your goal. Joanne

Hi Sal, I'm looking for a few new friends for the new year. Please feel free to add me as a friend. I've used MFP with friends and without and found it much more motivating with friends and community. I will also take a look at John Otis Hollywood. Good luck with your fitness goals. Joanne C.

Goal: 60 miles week one: 22 miles 38 mi to goal.

My goal for December was 60 miles. I did 70!!!! Making this most miles I've done in a single month. Going to try to go for 70 miles next month, too. It may be more challenging as having the extra time off around the holidays gave me more time for workouts. Happy New Year! Joanne

Hello, I'm back after a lengthy absence. I hurt my foot over the summer so wasn't able to WAH (or walk much anywhere else for a while). I did set a goal for last month of 45 miles and exceeded it I just didn't get around to posting it here. Based on last month's results. I'm going to set a goal for 55 miles. I should be…

Has anyone tried this recipe with fruit flavored yogurt? Just wondering.

Thanks for the suggestion with low-sodium tomatoes. My husband is the one who needs to watch his sodium and I am always challenged to find low sodium dishes that he will like. I have some chili recipes and a few others that he loves call for tomatoes.

Around 7 years ago, I was on another calorie counting site fitday.com. I saw a banner ad for WAH. I was looking for a exercise program I could do indoors (Winter was on its way). So I clicked on the ad. The reviews on the WAH site sounded almost too good to be true. The DVD was only $15 so I figured why not see if the WAH…

The Party Mix DVD will be out right in time for my post-holiday weight loss program!

Welcome to the group. I love Leslie's work outs because you can customize them to your fitness level or amount of time you have available to workout. I've been doing Walk at Home for over 5 years and found it's the only workout I can really stick to. BTW, feel free to add me as a friend.

Bump!

These sound yummy. How long to you bake them for? What temp?

Your blog post makes me want to go out and add another of her DVD's to my collection.

No, I can only LOSE weight with a combination of Walk at Home and calorie control. (I've lost 9 pounds since January using WAH with MFP.) I have, however, found that WAH without dieting is a great way to help MAINTAIN my weight.

Great recipe. I always seem to have these ingredients on hand so it seems like a good "go to" recipe when I can't think of something quick and easy to make. I can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Candygirl, I made this chili over the weekend and it was great! It's now my husband's new favorite chili. I had some frozen corn on hand s,o I threw a half cup of that into the chili. I'll definitely be making it again before chili weather is over. Thanks again for sharing! Good luck on your weight loss goals.…

Bump! Can't wait to try this.

Great idea. Thanks for sharing. I made a whole cake for my birthday this weekend. I used diet cola and Duncan Hines Chocolate Fudge cake mix. It turned out great even my husband loved it and he's not really into eating cake. I, however, ate half the cake already.

Hi Shay, Welcome. I've been on MFP for a while but just joined this group. What's the name of your FB page? Good luck on your weight loss goals. --Joanne

I like to add a mix of spices and herbs to my veggie snacks. You can make your own or try McCormick's "Perfect Pinch." It comes in several varieties (some are salt free). In addition to veggies, fat-free yogurt and rice cakes are a nice change.

I made and surpassed my 48 mile goal! and I still have a few days left. :drinker: Week 1: 18 mi. Week 2: 15 mi week 3 14 mi 2/24: 3mi 2/25: 2mi

I tried this recipe with 1 pork tenderloin. I kept it in the crockpot for low for 5 hours. It tasted fantastic but it was all dried out. Fortunately there was enough liquid left in the crockpot to use as a sauce to pour over the pork to kind of save it. Next time I will try 3-4 hours on low and keep checking it. I have a…
