  • Learn how to run correctly. It is not the shoes, it is the runner. Read http://barefootrunning.com/?page_id=109#begin-here
  • Look for Paleo or Keto recipes.
  • Yep. Not only is it less calories, it allows you to sleep healthier, thus giving you more energy to exercise.
  • I try to eat a little bit more if I know I am going running for 5 miles. Just a cliff bar extra will give me more energy to go farther, thus allowing me to burn much more than if I didn't eat a cliff bar. Find something you enjoy and go out and do it a lot!
  • Yep it is. I get ugly if I don't run almost every day. Keep track of your mileage and make up goals for yourself. See how much you can do in one week. See how long it takes you to hit 500 miles. Goal goals goals!
  • There is no way. From what I understand it is the difference between juicing and blending. You juice you get more nutrition per gallon. You blend you get more fiber per gallon. I prefer blending since I like the fiber and it helps keep me full.
  • These suggestions may not be in your tastes, but I like anything by Hatebreed. Such motivational music.
  • Yep. I have noticed faster recovery the more I do Insanity. I can also run faster for longer now.(It's only been a week!). I find eating a good sized meal after the workout helps speed up recovery.
  • Look into some paleo recipes for high protein, low carb. I personally just count calories. I like wheaties/cereal(3/4 cup) with unsweetened almond milk(.5 cup)=123 calories. At least look into the almond milk. So good and lower calories.
  • I like diet sodas and find that they satisfy my soda craving. From what I have read, they aren't that bad for you and everything is fine in moderation. I drink at a max 1 per day and appreciate the lack of calories in the soda. It is kind of a best of both worlds.
  • I cheat. I bought the 10 calorie peach tea powder packs that they sell at Kroger. They are meant for 12ish ounces. I mix it with 2 32 oz Nalgenes and drink it all day at work(desk job). I leave the lid off and sip it all day. I drink one bottle before lunch and one after. This gets my 8 cups of water with minimal calories.…
  • I work out and my treat is one of those small dove chocolate hearts. I think they are about 30 calories and satisfy.
  • There is stretching after a warmup on the normal vides(at least the ones I have done)
  • After further research I have found that you are more than likely correct about the development, but studies are mixed on recovery/prevention. Barefoot was just a suggesion I have a lot of experience with.
  • Can someone explain to me why you would want this for MFP? You negate calories by putting in that you are lightly active, sedentary, etc. If you put in the calories you burn from fitbit wouldn't that just give you more calories, thus allowing you to eat more, thus making you fatter? I understand using it to work out, but…
  • With the above disclaimer stated... If it hurts, don't do it. There are plenty of ways to exercise that probably won't hurt your back. I think the bike is a good choice. Swimming or running in the pool may be good too.
  • Try experimenting with different footwear. Did you know that bunions are caused by poor choices in foot wear? The mostly barefoot people in other countries do not have bunions(actually they have a significantly lower amount of foot problems in general). Maybe try some barefoot exercise. The reason I suggest this is because…
  • I am doing a modified version of insanity. I will run at least 3 miles every day and do a 40 minute insanity workout Sunday through Friday. Saturday is my long run(10+ miles) where I will not do insanity. I am really liking Insanity over P90X.
