running is completely different from elliptical workout, start walk/run, more walking than running initially and slowly increase your running time, you will be running a 5k in no time, I would advise against treadmill, run outside.

simple you put on your headphones, look in front of you and start running, or walk/run, i use my running time as a way to get rid of stress, i don't pay attention to my surroundings and run as if I am there alone. good luck!!

doubt that your fitbit is accurate, I run 3 miles at 7 min/mile (8.5 miles/hour) which is very intense and burn about 400 calories
