i try to keep my carbs around 100. if they dip too low, it affects my mood. so i had to find a balance. my surgeon said because i'm old and short, my weight loss will be slow ... but i'm very happy with my progress so far. 54lbs in 5 1/2 months.

I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and was pre-diabetic. I decided "this is not how my story is going to end" ... so after gaining and losing the same 20lbs for years, I decided to have the Sleeve surgery. Best decision ever! Wish I would have done it years ago.

I eat carbs. I stay in my macros. My surgeon said your brain needs carbs ... also, my mood crashes if I cut my carbs too low. I think you will find people that are anti carb and people that eat a healthy diet and don't eliminate anything. I have a questionable relationship with skittles :D

My surgery was 5/01. I'm down 54lbs. I'm old and short B) so the dr said I would be a slow looser. My nutritionist said I should eat between 800-1000 calories a day. My dr believes in eating a well rounded diet, so I don't have food restrictions. I track on here and I stay within my macros. I am 58, and 5' tall. I started…

This is such a great thread! I had my sleeve May 1, 2018. I'm down 37lbs. The dr said because of my age (58) and height (5') I will be a slow loser. He told me to be happy with 7lbs a month. I'm very happy with my sleeve and am good with following guidelines. About 2 weeks ago I started having food intolerance. I can't…

i am struggling with knee pain which is not allowing me to exercise right now ... so i have to lose this weight with diet only. kind of a killer  i am only 5' tall, so my calories allowance isn't that high. the dr. says it's my weight, so i will see what happens as i lose lbs.

From Livestrong: Many detoxification diets include the consumption of large amounts of water, ostensibly to help the body "flush out" toxins that are stuck inside. Detox diets may also include supplements intended to help your body eliminate chemicals and heavy metals from food intake. However, according to Katherine…

thanks  i am working very hard to get to 190. i believe that that is the weight that my knees will support. i can't wait to start exercising! it's hard to do it all on diet alone. i can't have a cheat day or go over my calories at all! the pain in my knees is keeping me pretty focused right now. i eat clean and…
