It all depends on your weight and how much you are putting into it. When I weighed 20lbs heavier (155ish) I burned over 700 calories an hr. Now I weigh 134 and burn around 400-450 calories an hr. I definitely don't think that Zumba is low impact unless you arent putting in all the hops and jumps. I use a fitbit and I weigh 132lbs. For an hr class I burn between 400-460 depending on the instructor, etc. When I was heavier I was burning between 700 and 800 calories an hr.

I had them too and the dr put me on the pill as well. Honestly, the pill didn't really help much. I ended up having an ablation (you can't do this until you are finished having children so probably not helpful to you) and it has helped me a lot. I have 9lbs left to lose but have already lost 30lbs. It took me 5 mos to lose 30lbs on 1200 calories a day. Sorry, I haven't taken before and after pictures. I have gone from a size 12 jean to a size 8. If you want to 'friend' me, please feel free!

I had a 3 week stall where I didn't lose or gain. I started exercising more and not eating back my exercise calories and finally had a 1lb loss last week. Good luck to you!
