I'm in the same boat. 94lbs lost with about 9 to go. I am 32 years old and it took me about a year and a half to lose the weight. I have done it all on my own with the exception of a gym membership for the first three months. I'm thinking about joining the gym in my office building to try and enlist the help of a personal…

How is that possible? I'm a Size 6/8 and I wear a VS Large.

Just outside Montreal!

^^ What this person said! My husband is the same way and I'm pretty sure it's out of insecurity.

I wasn't trying to lose weight when I had it but I gained A LOT in those 3 years.

I WAS eating back my calories but having little success so I've been allowing myself to eat half of them for the past week or so. No HUGE difference in results but somehow I just feel better :)

This is exactly why I started this thread :) Get it all out!

I've lost nearly 90lbs in the last year and a half and my experience has been that it's 80% diet and 20% exercise. If you don't exercise you'll wind up with loose flappy skin. Skinny fat. Wouldn't you rather have a nice toned physique?

^^^ Yup, pretty much everything you said!

I get Saundra or Sondra a lot. It's not either of those. It's SAndra! With an A like in HAT. Also, Sandy? Who said you could call me Sandy when I clearly introduced myself and GO BY Sandra? Very annoying. I don't correct people, though. I just let it go.

My daughter is Sadie (Say-Dee) and she gets Cindy and Sandy ALL, THE. TIME. but she's super shy and quietly corrects people but they NEVER hear her. Poor kid.

I used to eat my calories back but my weight loss has been stagnant since joining MFP. Before I never ate back my exercise calories and had been steadily losing weight. So, basically I have now resolved to not eat more than 1/2 of my exercise calories for the time being and see where that gets me. If I find that it's still…

Exactly what she said. It's tough but the key is to take it slow. It's not a sprint. Just take your time and you'll get there :) Good luck!

I wouldn't call myself a seasoned runner but yesterday I learned the hard way just how necessary water is when out for a run in high temperatures. Today I brought my armband water bottle with me and I was so thankful that I had it. Yesterday i had to cut my run short and it was such a disappointment! Live and learn :)

Ditto! But you look great in all of them!

Belly button area (and just below) and thighs.

Didn't read all the responses but have you tried kettlebells?

I agree that your dr is an idiot! It may take a while but you don't need a quick and easy fix! You need a permanent fix! I've lost 100lbs from my heaviest weight and I am proof that it is possible! Slow and steady wins the race! Just keep at it!

Have you charted your weight based on your menstrual cycle? This may be TMI but I know I weigh more during my period and during ovulation and weigh the least right after my period ends. That could have something to do with it.
-
That makes sense. I'm pretty sure 197 was when I was nearing the finish line and I definitely could not have sustained that pace for a long period of time. I think my average HR is somewhere around 170 so I guess I'm doing alright. So does anyone know what my tagret heart rate zone should be? I'm looking for improvement in…

Thanks for all the input!

I just keep thinking that no matter how I may look, at least I am getting out there and doing something active and living a healthy lifestyle and THAT is something to be proud of. Get out there! Who cares what others are thinking :)

I wouldn't make his lunch anymore, honestly.

Those are all great! I often wonder, at what point does running 10K (or any distance for that matter) become "easy"? I love the idea that it doesn't get easier, you just get better. I'll have to remember that one :)
-
Have you tried pilates?
-
Maybe try running a little bit slower. It's not a sprint, just go for a light jog. I completed it before Christmas and now run 5K several times a week. It's a great program if you stick with it :)

I've lost 100lbs (80 in the last 15 or so months) and I can vouch for the accuracy of this article. It's sad, but she's right!
