probably the biggest risk is the next day--when you want bacon and grease for bfast, then maybe lunch and so on. so prepare for that accordingly. make sure there's something decent in the fridge. Oh, and drink plenty of water (at least two glasses) before going to bed. maybe a turkey sandwich too. :)

blue bunny birthday cake ice cream sandwiches. 130 or 140 cals. Tastes like a cupcake. Plus, it's not so "low cal" that you don't register as a treat.

Oh--i also substituted firm tofu for the shrimp that's noted in the recipe. I still loved it even though i'd long ago given up on tofu. I just cut it up into smaller pieces so as not to bite into big tofu hunks.
-
i just used it in eatingwell.com 's pad thai recipe. Substituted the rice noodles with the squash. It was amazing! Just add a bit lime and cilantro at the end--i don't think the recipe mentions those.

I wish i "hadn't made it" like you didn't make it! :). Nicely done!

One more week! how's it going dragonfly?
-
Not terrible--not great. Finally got in a full length workout at the gym today. Three more weeks this year--we can definitely do some damage in that amt of time :). You will get to 40. If out of every challenge only one person makes it, then that means we just have ot keep having challenges until everyone does :)
-
awww--i just popped back for a peek -- you're doing awesome. It's discouraging when challenges go dormant, i know. Guess what--i'll get back to it for the rest of the journey to the end of the year. Kind of like running a mile with someone who's completing a marathon :) (the marathoner being you).
-
That's awesome!

Glad to see you're all still here. I've been mia, i know. Been struggling with whether tracking is the way to go for me. The real issue isn't tracking vs not tracking, though, it's simply exercising enough and eating just enough of the good stuff. My successful strategy in the past has been getting in a good solid (45-60…

checking in...kind of :). Been working out, i just can't bring myself ot weigh myself just yet. back few weeks up until a week or so ago. Can't do it until i feel like i'm well back closer to 150...can't bear to see 160 again :)
-
Didn't lose. Also wasn't diligent. :/
-
WHOOPS--i was looking at the wrong week. Never mind that. It's 100 DAYS until the end of the year. Now that's a nice, even number. So, those of us thinking we have all the time in the world, um, yeah. 3 lbs every 10 days :)
-
94 days left 'till new year! (give or take, my math isn't that great :)).
-
We have a similar goal :). And perhaps similar situations--if i'm working out, the food isn't and vice versa--need it all to come together :)
-
aaargh...i did so well until wednesday. Then it all went downhill straight up until yesterday. It's almost like i feel that when things get tough, it's ok to slack off. I know otherwise. Still, that was six days. I've got the whole rest of the year, and this challenge, to make up for it ;)
-
congrats!
-
Checking in -- but i'm really just starting this week. Had to face the music brought on by the last 3 weeks of slacking (which included a short vacation, etc): 7 lbs gained. Ugh. Good job everyone--see you next monday :)!

I have the same issue--had some luck a couple of years ago with stretchy DKNY jeans at macy's. Also found a couple of good ones at marshall's and, again, the key with those and the dkny's was that that they're really soft and stretchy. :)

HI--sorry if you already know this--if you go to your profile, you should find a section with all your recent forum posts...
-
p.s., i meant "too late" to join. :)
-
Is it too late? I've done a couple of challenges recently where we all just seemed to dwindle off and the challenge never really seems to make it to the end. I thought that would put me off challenges for a while but this group seems positive and i like the tangible goals. I like that it's not just "lose x pounds by x" but…
-
Oh, woops i only saw the first post that said groups closed Aug 31--looks like it turns out it was Aug 21. Carry on and good luck :)
-
I'd like to join :). I'll post more later but i just wanted this bookmarked so i don't lose it again :)
-
I don't think you missed it. I say DILIH won :)
-
I started the program :) over again after completing stages 1 and 2 :(...but here's to starting over :)
-
HI all--any updates? July results? Keeping on until august? :). Yep, i know if i was so interested in an august challenge i oughta volunteer to coordinate but...um... yeah :)
-
DILIH--3520 and i'm in for an august one! Question is--do we roll over the "penalty" or think up a new one?
-
Checking in for DILIH this week--3515. Barely made it--def had to work hard to catch up to the early in the week slacking. This challenge is brilliant. Had me putting on the sneakers when i otherwise would definitely wouldn't.

I went :)
