  • I want to return to this after tips come in, as I am curious as well
  • Heads up: My suggestions focus on low cal. I'm aware that the other factors (sodium) may not be low enough for some. However, I have found these to be good substitutes for Subway :) Panda Express has several tasty options that are low cal. My fav combo is mixed veggies, string bean chicken, and beef/broccoli. I think the…
  • *as I'm munching on a cookie* I still get cravings and I've been at this just over 3 months. I fear I will always have cravings. However, I've learned the benefit of planning for the "bad" things and just trying to work it off that day or the day after. Today is my birthday and I'm heading to Disneyland. I know for a FACT…
  • Guilty of over-weighing myself. I TRY to only do it once a week or so but lately I've been jumping on it almost every morning. I'm 3 pounds away from another milestone for myself and I think I'm super anxious to see a number appear that I haven't seen in years. I'd like to try and only weigh myself once a month, so that…
  • OP: Thanks for posting the question. I wasn't sure what it was either but I didn't want to post a question. This post and the answers have cleared up my confusion. Yay!
  • I can appreciate a post like this. I'm struggling to quit my soda habit and in the last few months I've reached for a diet soda in place of the "real" thing because I didn't want to consume the calories but my craving was too strong to resort to water. I'm a work in progress, just as many other people on this site are.…
  • Yesterday was my distance running day but I made sure to squeeze in 2mi this evening in honor of the awesome holiday!
  • You know what irked me more than anything? I paid $9.99 to download this crap on my iPhone and once I realized what a terribly written story it was, full of repetition and boring sex scenes, I couldn't even GIVE my purchase to someone who might actually enjoy it. Lesson learned. Never purchase a book I'm on the fence about…
  • I always found that asking questions like: "What are some challenges I might face with this position?" "Why is this position available? Are you expanding the department?" It should that you are genuinely interested in your place with the company and not just ready to take whatever job falls into your lap (even if you…
  • Wow, that doesn't even look like the same size dress!! Way to go! :)
  • My boyfriend is incredibly supportive of my fitness endeavors and even wakes up early every Sunday morning to go for a run with me. In fact, he joined me for a couple of 5Ks as well, just to be my "coach" during the slower moments when I needed a little push (he literally placed his hand on my back and pushed me along at…
  • When I find myself at a fast food place, I opt for the kid's meal and the minute maid light lemonade as the drink. Satisfies my cravings and the portions are much more reasonable
  • I'd love to lose another 40lbs by Christmas! I figure I've taken off a little over 20 in 3 months. If I stick to that progress, that means 40 is totally doable 6 months from now! My plan to continue my weight loss: --Reduce my soda intake even more than it currently is (hopefully down to only one can a week and eventually…
  • Thanks, Beatrixia! I must be hungry this morning...I saw your default picture and thought they were pancakes for a second!
  • That's fantastic!!
  • I don't think I could get through most of my 4am work mornings without a 5 hour energy shot or a sugar free Rockstar. I probably have one or the other at least 3 times a week. The 5 hour energy has 4 calories and the sugar free Rockstar has 20. I've never tried one before a workout though. I fear it would upset my stomach.
  • For sure!! haha
  • Good job!! :flowerforyou: I just know we can get to that magical number of 29.9! And thanx
  • hehe, thanks! It'll be a super bitter-sweet moment when this dress becomes too big for me to wear, as I love it too! :ohwell:
  • Shoot, if that's the case, I'm even more thrilled! Thanx! And congrats to you as well :flowerforyou:
  • Ahhh, a good Roy Rogers is my all time weakness...especially with the actual cherry on top! I have not yet been able to kick my soda habit. However, since logging my food daily I have noticed a significant reduction in the amount I drink. Pre-MFP I had no problem downing 3-5 cans of coke A DAY! Now, I usually only have one…
  • If it is your weakness, there is no getting around it. You're going to eat it from time to time (if not often). Try to budget for that in your allowed calories and over time, see if you can reduce the amount you eat. Also, as many people have suggested, frozen yogurt is a great alternative. I love Golden Spoon! It doesn't…
  • This is why I cannot watch shows on the Food Network channel...I always end up feeling hungry by the middle of the program!
  • My first goal is 65 lbs. I'm at a loss of about 22 pounds now. After I get to the first goal of 65 lbs, I plan on trying for another 40 lbs. It seems so far away right now. I have to focus on "one day at a time".
  • Have a great time! It is super addicting and I guarantee you will be signed up for a new run before the end of the day Saturday!
  • I'll clarify what I meant by having a PB in training. I didn't mean to suggest that each and every training needs to be bigger and better than the training before. However, someone running regularly will naturally find that they are increasing in either speed or endurance...or both! :) I find that it helps me to keep in…
  • I'm so sad that your first race experience left such a bad taste in your mouth. I encourage you to find another one and give it another go! Try for a community one with less participants, maybe? As far as PB goes, I only look at my officially timed races that I've done because I know I push myself a lot harder…
  • Yay! Good job! Love your phone cover and the dresses in both your first picture and your black dress in one of the "after" pictures. Keep it up!
  • OP: My first three days I thought I was going to die from hunger. I did NOT realize just how much I had been eating on a day to day basis until I started using MFP. My calorie goal is very similar to yours. I am limited to 1440 a day and let me tell you, that first day I reached my goal before NOON! Crazy. Yes, your body…
