  • If you are concerned that running may actually be "bad" for you, talk to your doctor and get checked out. Make sure you have the proper shoes. Also, look into "race walking"! It's an Olympic sport and you can win races without ever having to actually "run" if you learn to do it correctly and build on the speed. Good luck…
  • I don't add the food WAY in advance but I will look it up before I eat it so that I can make an informed decision about whether I really want to use my calories in that way or not. This has helped me countless times when ordering fast food!! (I know, fast food, bad, bad, bad lol)
  • I lost 7 lbs my first two weeks using MFP and what you said in your post is basically what my eating habits were before I discovered MFP! My first day of tracking I had already used up all my calories by 11am!!! :noway: Stick with it, even though you may see the pounds coming off more slowly. In my experience so far, the…
  • Wow, reading through all these posts from women who are my height has encouraged me to strive for an even lower weight than my current goal! I'm 5'6", large frame, and my stats are > SW: 265 > CW: 250 > GW: 215 Now that I've read (and seen the profile pics) of all you ladies who are 5'6" (or there abouts) who weigh 150 or…
  • What a great thread! I'm glad I searched for it. I am over my sugar level on a daily basis...by a LOT! And I was wondering if it made a difference. Now, my sugar isn't coming from fruits (not on most days, anyway). It is coming from soda, which is a whole other issue I need to work out about my eating habits. But this…
  • Just your title made me teary-eyed. I know the feeling!! Congrats on your success so far! Bring tissue with you to the gym from now on...I have a feeling you'll experience that satisfaction again and again as you continue on your journey! :)
  • Your body (at 250) is my body right now! I hope to achieve the results you are experiencing. Keep it up! That's awesome!
  • I'm at -14 as well, but I don't think my body has changed like yours has! Impressive. Good job! What are you doing to achieve these results?
  • Awesome! Good job!
  • The company I work for stocks the kitchen with food for us, so Mon-Fri I don't spend anything (yazoo!) I stick to a banana or a yogurt, so if I had to pay for it...it would be less than $1 a day  My $$$ goes to dinner usually...still working on not eating out so much :noway:
  • It might. But I suggest once or twice a week, doing something other than cycling. Do you workout at the gym? If you use the higher bikes, try the one that has you closer to the ground. Jump on the rowing machine. Take a swim in the pool. Grab a jump rope and see how long you can go for. Get on the stairs machine and see…
  • Your body definitely knows! Mess with it every couple of weeks by changing things up. I love going to Turbo Kickboxing classes but I realized I go to the same instructor every time and I started to anticipate each move before it happened. I didn't have to work as hard. Yesterday I went to a new instructor and WOW, I was…
  • What a great read! Thank you
  • Today marks day 50 for me using MFP. I have lost a little over 13lbs. I'm averaging around 2lbs a week. However, some weeks I don't lose anything and the first 7lbs came off the first 2 weeks. I am trying to focus more on my day to day eating and not get hung up on the scale. Even if the weight comes off incredibly slow,…
  • That's fantastic! :) I am about where you started. If I can get down to the "regular" sizes in clothing, without the PLUS added to them, I will be so very happy. You are an inspiration. Thank you for posting!
  • I just spent the morning designing the tattoo I want to get when I hit my goal of -50 lbs!! It is my default picture, if you want to go to my profile and check it out in my photos  I got the idea from another thread on here about a month ago. Someone suggested V2.0 for a new version of myself. I decided I wanted the…
  • When school/homework does not get in the way: Monday: Hot Hula fitness (60 mins) Tuesday: Turbo Kickboxing  (60 mins) Wednesday: rest Thursday: Morning jog 2miles Friday: treadmill jog (as many miles as I can take  ) Saturday: Turbo Kickboxing  (60 mins) Sunday: my boyfriend trains me in the areas of…
  • That's fantastic! Good for you
  • I tried this and it says for my frame and height, my ideal weight is between 152-167. I think that is totally doable, even though right now I cannot image me ever getting down to that weight. It's 80-100 lbs away! *looks at calendar* I think I could pull that off by this time next year...maybe?
  • WOW! That is awesome! Congrats on an excellent race and your great progress!
  • I walked into Victoria Secret once and asked the sales lady about their sizing. She looked me up and down and said, "We don't carry your size." :noway: I politely informed her that I wasn't asking for me but for my cousin, who was too embarrassed to ask herself.
  • That's great! I can see results for sure :)
  • Friday, March 30th: 258.2 Friday, April 6th: 255.3 :-D Friday, April 13th: 255.0 Friday, April 20th: 252.7 (-5.5 lbs from March 30! Whoop!) Friday, April 27th:
  • Mine is a combo that combines my nickname (Shells) and middle name (Renee) and I've always used 01 at the end of internet screen names :ohwell: Had I know it was going to be the username, I might have been more creative. Oh well...haha
  • Dominoes Pasta Bread Bowls  I miss them but omg were they unhealthy...and I'd eat them like once a week! :noway: Haven't had one in at least 3 months now.
  • This is a tough situation. Physical attraction to someone you love can change if their appearance changes. I have a feeling the issue may be more about your perception of his attraction rather than his actual attraction. If you haven't already, I recommend talking to him about it. Explain that you are concerned your…
  • Soda...I've tried and I've tried. It just tastes too darn good! :drinker: Although, since using MFP to track my daily calories, I do drink it a lot less frequently than I ever have in the past!
  • Keep up the good work! I can see it mostly in your booty
  • You are definitely an inspiration to me! Way to go! :flowerforyou:
  • I just bought my first jump rope and it is not nearly as easy as it was when I was 8! I sure didn't have boobs back then  But I am looking forward to learning this skill all over again and my goal is to build up enough endurance to jump for 15 minutes straight
