  • I'm in! I got up to 96 yesterday, but it took me till 10pm! So my aim is to be "done" by 8p today.
  • Thank you for the great resource. Ice is quickly becoming my best friend and it will be better soon :ohwell:
  • Getting back into the daily accountability: Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Don't know, didn't track, but probably went over slightly thanks to dinner out last night Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Didn't set one What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Worked out despite not wanting to What would I…
  • If anyone can get back into a groove it's you! I've slacked on strength recently since one of my classes is on hiatus while the instructor is on vacation 3 weeks (tough life!). Plus I don't feel like I'm doing as well when I do strength as I seem to burn half the calories I do with cardio. I get that's normal and strength…
  • I'm going to try again today. Didn't quite make it to 96 yesterday, but did make it 80. I've got 24 in so far this morning...
  • Happy Weigh In Day everyone! I'm holding "steady" this week according to the scale, no gain/loss. Have Day 2 of Week 3 C25K planned for over lunch. I'm hoping the shin splints won't cause a bunch of problems, but will probably hang out on week 2 if they do until the muscles build up a bit more. No sense pushing myself too…
  • I'm in for the day - just starting now though so I have to play catch up :drinker:
  • HMO - healing vibes coming your way! I hope today is much better.
  • Phew! Today was a day! We took the kids to the zoo and walked for about 3 hours. The boys had a great time as did hubby and I. Favorite part was watching the full-grown polar bear using a ball to help him float by hugging it followed by letting it go to splash the crowd. There really isn't much difference between a bear…
  • Well, just got done doing Wk1 Day3 of C25K! I can't believe I was able to do it. I don't like it while I'm doing it, but I still did it and survived! I have minor shin splints and will take the rest of today and tomorrow off - although I'll be taking the boys biking around our neighborhood at some point today if…
  • Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Didn't track, but my guess is that I went over Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Didn't set one, but had hoped to work out, but a darn meeting ran long and then I came down with a migraine :explode: What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Celebrated my 9th anniversary…
  • Wow! You all were active yesterday! I had to play catch up this morning after not getting time to log in yesterday. Had a very busy day at work, went out to dinner with my hubby to celebrate our anniversary, and ended up topping the day off with a horrible migraine around 7pm :grumble: I did weigh myself and I came in at…
  • Good lord! I would have been frantic! I am so glad that your daughter is safe and sound, but I hope you all gave the camp director an earful! She didn't get dehydrated by being in the van in the heat did she? Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yes Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes What did I do yesterday…
  • Hey ladies! Happy Tuesday. Cello: I'm planning to do Day 2 tomorrow/Thursday and Day 3 on Saturday. How'd Day 1 go for you? HMO: WOW that pic is just amazing! You should be very proud of yourself. Those folks at your work are gonna be knocked over by the "new" you. I sure hope the transition is as smooth as can be. Rach:…
  • Did you stay within you nutritional goals? No, I wasn't tracking... Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Didn't set one What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? I drank my water. What would I have done differently? Kept on program. What is today's personal goals? Journal food, stay on program, day one C25K.
  • Hey! I started C25K today too! I did day one. I did skip one running interval, but kept up otherwise. Maybe we can be each other's cheerleaders with water cups rather than pom poms :drinker:
  • Rach - so sorry about the news. I hope that you're able to find something quick that will be bigger and better. Chrissy - WOW hot mama! How fabulous to see the progress visually like that. You are awesome. Well, I fell off the wagon due to an emotional/stressful weekend of eating. I knew what was going on, but didn't use…
  • Absolutely! We're all works in process so to speak. I don't think the battle is just weight, but learning to love yourself as we are. :flowerforyou:
  • What a fabulous idea Chrissy! Kath-Give yourself a break-emotionally I mean! When it comes to going back to work, you're going to have to learn a while new routine/schedule so give yourself permission to take some time to adjust. I tend to journal my food at the beginning of the day as I tend to have a rough skelton of…
  • Did you stay within you nutritional goals? Yes Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? I found time to exercise after putting the kids to bed and I didn't eat any of my exercise calories. What would I have done differently? Ate more fruits and veggies. What is today's personal…
  • Did you stay within you nutritional goals? Yes, and I didn't dip into the exercise calories Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? I ran 5 minutes straight on the treadmill - I am not a runner, never have been, but I did it! What would I have done differently? Drank more…
  • Thanks ladies! Fitgal - the avatar is from lolcats.com. It's a hysterical site for cat lovers. I've been mulling over the C25K seeing as how many of the Blues sing its praises. I may just start it this weekend now that I know I can accomplish what I did today
  • Okay, I have a success to share. I may have gained this week, but I'm definitely doing something right. I actually ran for 5 minutes straight. After my strength class at the gym our instructor challenged us to 5 minutes on the treadmill. I did it and I made it the entire 5 minutes. I have never liked running and I hated it…
  • I agree with debnu1! You can take back control. We've ALL been there - I'm still there. If you really want to find out what's your trigger, try journalling. It doesn't have to be a long entry - maybe just a few emotions written down now and again throughout the day. Then if you have another day like this, perhaps it'll…
  • Oh NO! How disappointing. Let us know how tomorrow's class goes and whether you like it or not.
  • Did you stay within you nutritional goals? Yes Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Stayed in my calories. What would I have done differently? Not dipped into my exercise calories. What is today's personal goals? Not dip into exercise calories and drink my water.
  • Up this week - 229.2  (there's no frustrated "smilie")
  • Congrats! That's a huge success!
  • I would go for the lower end of the range (600-700) at least at first so that you give yourself time to learn the moves. That way you won't risk over-estimating the number that you burn, especially if you choose to eat your exercise calories. I love Zumba! I hope you like it too. Good luck!
  • Did you stay within you nutritional goals? No. Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? I tracked my calories but didn't stop when I knew I would go over. No willpower :ohwell: What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Went to Zumba over lunch What would I have done differently? Put duct tape over my mouth What is today's…
