  • I went MIA in August, but back now. I've got no idea where I am weight wise as the scale broke. I think it got tired of the overuse :D Replacement scale is on order and should be here tomorrow. So we'll see what my 3 weeks of not engaging have done. I'm not sweating this... it's a journey, not a sprint. My September Goals…
  • Hey @Lucerne2, I just wanted to say hi. I'm also 5'4 and am looking to lose between 80-100 lbs. I also wanted to say I'm so sorry that you went through such a horrible ordeal. As a rape survivor myself (21 years ago), please know the act of rape has nothing to do with what you look like. It's an act of violence and…
  • Good morning! This week is a very busy week between work and back-to-school activities even with virtual classrooms in our area. @speyerj - I don't envy your husband in these times. As a parent, I know my children do better in the classroom, but I do not think that's a risk we should be asking our teachers, administrators,…

  • @CupcakeCrusoe: Yes, an emotional eating workbook that I've had on my side table for about a month now :* Anywho, it was recommended by my doctor's office and you can find it here:…
  • Well I need to check in more so I can get to know you all a little better. SW: 278 CW: 271 GW: comfortable in my own skin while being able to be active and strong! I've lost some weight but I still have that sweet tooth at night that I can't seem to let go of. That being said, I'm logging it and still staying within my…
  • Hi all. I'm another "newbie." I've been on and off MFP for years but this is my first time posting in the group. My name is Tracy. Reading through your posts, I'm very inspired by you all! SW: 278 CW: 273 GW: comfortable in my own skin while being able to be active and strong! I'm a Peloton enthusiast so some of my goals…
  • Personally, I'd swim in those dates between rides. Swimming woukd keep things low impact but maintain cardiovascular stamina. Maybe some light runs - between 3-5 miles if you like running. I'd also foam roll to work the kinks out between rides also. Good luck on your rides!
  • Congrats Chrissy! That's awesome :drinker:
  • Back on track  down to 221.4 (from 224.4 last Tuesday but didn't post it here :embarassed: ) Next week I'm going to be in the 210s! I'm feeling really good considering the in-laws are here and we're showing off the NC southern food with Sonny's BBQ and Bojangles fried chicken - and I still lost! Thank god for the…
  • Congrats everyone for a great weight-loss week! :drinker: I'm lurking, just not posting very often because everything's topsy turvey in my world-after all, it's not all about me right? Thanks to everyone for their kind words last week. They meant a lot. The toughest part is being over 1000 miles from our sick family…
  • Hey all! Sorry I've been MIA for awhile. I feel like I've been hit by a 5-inch wide copy of Murphy's Law right upside the head. Found out my dad has stage 4 kidney cancer that's also in his lungs. Surgery's not an option, but he will start chemo this week. Sister-in-law also is seeing a thorasic surgeon for a growth right…
  • Just a couple of thoughts you could add to your arsenal for when you reopen the discussion - 2 hours a week away from the kids will have several other benefits that maybe he hasn't thought about: 1) He'll get to spend "special time" with the kids that he can plan things just for them. Don't know the ages of yourkids, but I…
  • Alapoint: I sure hope the morning sickness gets better for you so you can enjoy this very special time. :flowerforyou: HMO: Glad you're on the mend and no longer so horribly uncomfortable. My weight this week is 225.8.
  • Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yes, but more out of luck than anything. Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? No, didn't chart until this morning. What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Went to the gym despite the fact that I really wanted to dive into a bowl of chocolate. What would I have done…
  • That's wonderful! Congratulations and healthy mom/baby vibes coming your way :flowerforyou:
  • If you have an MP3 there are C25K podcasts that do the time for you. Just search C25K podcasts and you'll come up with a few. I use Robert Ullrey's, but know there are others out there. Good luck all!
  • Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yes Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? 105 oz of water, above my goal of 96oz. What would I have done differently? Paid closer attention to my menu choice - way too much sodium at dinner What is today's personal goals? C25K day…
  • Did you stay within you nutritional goals? Yes Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Came home and walked two miles instead of crashing on the couch. What would I have done differently? Made a better choice at lunch by looking up where we were going & checking out the…
  • 105 oz by 7:30p - Now why was 96 hard earlier this week
  • That's fantastic! What a great way to start the day.
  • It's 2:00p and I'm at 58 :drinker: 38 more to go!
  • 24 in, 72 to go...
  • I'll pitch in my 2 pounds anytime - I'm such a slacker
  • I feel your pain - really! Been suffering with shin splints myself. Sani posted a link and advice last week which has made a HUGE difference. I can actually walk downstairs without pain rather than oohing and awhing with each step. My 4-year-old was starting to call me Mommy Ooh  Hope yours get better too!
  • My goal is 96 oz before 8pm so I don't have to get up several times during the night, stumbling over my husband's shoes and the dog in the dark as I head for the bathroom
  • 96 oz by 9:00p. Better than by 10:00p. Tomorrow aiming for 8pm (again)
  • Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yes Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? I did an upper body strength workout after putting the kids to bed to avoid couch/snacking syndrome. What would I have done differently? Spent more time stretching after my C25K run at…
