OOooo what kind of cookies?

I have a pair that I wear every day. I love them and highly recommend them. But I've never walked 4-5 miles in them and would probably put on my Saucony shoes for the extra support for an extended walk.

I think it depends on the individual person. How often you run and your ability. I started running in April and am estimating that I will hit 10km by the beginning of August.

Use the lotion kind instead of the spray so you don't get it on your bra if you're concerned.

I usually say hello, occasionally just smile and always stare down the ones who try to avoid eye contact.
-
I'm pretty sure that means you were really relaxed.

Put on some vaseline or body glide.

Make sure you are engaging your core (tightening your muscles). That will make you significantly less tipsy. Working on your core strength will help you overall.

Don't you get a free lifetime membership when you reach your goal?

Try your community centre. A lot of yoga studios have Karma classes which are much cheaper. As mentioned, doyogawithme.com is excellent as is the app "Yoga Studio" (available on ios) but I think was $5.

I'm 5'8, 163. I did the same thing you are doing, got to 160 and then thought I would see. Because I like round numbers, I'm aiming to lose a little bit more.

Motivation has to come from within you. No one can make you start to eat better and keep it going but you. You will find friends along the way who will support you, but they don't control what you eat or how much exercise you do. That's all up to you. Want it bad enough and you will succeed.

It will have taken me approximate 2.5 years to lose 50 pounds. BUT I spent a year going up and down 5 lbs before I switched tactics. Just remember that it took awhile for you to gain 50 lbs.

My magic bullet couldn't handle ice. I just have a regular oster blender now. I second freezing the fruit idea.

Where do these ancient threads keep coming from? Who is going back 3+ years in the forums?

You don't necessarily have to eat 1200 calories to be successful. MFP sets that as your calorie goal when you say you want to lose 2 pounds per week. You can certainly eat more and still lose, as long as you are mindful of what you eat.

It's a known issue with the Force. I got a rash from the force and don't have known allergies. So it's possible that you got it with the Flex too.

I agree. You just can't give yourself a choice. It's the same way when you get up for work. You don't have a choice so you get up and go.

Try a different brand, they don't all taste the same. You can add honey, maple syrup, fruit, flavoured... they all make it taste different.

I was about to respond absolutely nothing, but then saw the bananas in front of me. I don't mind them as much now that I've been eating them for so long, but I still don't like them.

You should be going slow enough to hold a conversation.

I would experiment and see what you like best. Maybe it's only one or two ingredients you didn't like the taste of. The good thing about just spinach in a fruit smoothie is you don't taste the spinach at all.

For walking/jogging/running just let your fitbit calculate your steps. That's what it's for. When you log activities in MFP, you'll put a start time for the activity so it doesn't count twice.

GTA (Ontario) and Penguins fan.

I think I'll make this sometime this week.

One example for me: 6 km run at an average sped of 7:28 min/km burns 621 calories. Added to that my fitbit adjustment of 367 calories burned (17,155) steps for the day got me 988 calories burned.

The walking on the treadmill can be recorded as cardio. For the strength training you log it under strength training and create individual exercises. That's how I did it when I went to physio.

It depends where you're running. Running on a treadmill is misery for me. Running in the evening is my favourite. I love changing scenery. I also prefer company. Someone to celebrate my accomplishments and to encourage me when I'm having a bad run. Ultimately, if it makes you miserable, find something that doesn't.
