  • Alright, this will probably be the last time I check in for a couple weeks. I'm going on a 9 day Euro trip and will have limited time and limited access to the internet. I'm leaving Monday and won't be back until the 9th. Woot! I have alot of stuff to do before then... Laundry... Playing "Tetris" trying to fit everything…
  • The one I married... Apparently, I like very intelligent guys who think they're god's gift to the profession they're in. My husband's semi-arrogant confidence makes me laugh. So, between the sarcasm and his descriptions of why he's so awesome, I'm always laughing which is a must. I like the non-jealous, non-possesive,…
  • Not my best week either, but nowhere near the worst. Hang in there! Just pick yourself up, and make your next decision better than the last.
  • If you ordered it from beachbody, you can call customer service and tell them it was missing. They'll send you one.
  • I might be wrong in thinking this and hopefully someone else can confirm or deny it. I'm under the impression that it's general practice to attempt a vaginal birth the first time you have a baby. However, if you end up having a c-section, it is recommended that all your other births after that will be a scheduled c-section…
  • Honestly, I can't stand Jillian! Her way of motivating is a little aggressive for me. I haven't bought any of her stuff. So I can't tell you whether her workouts are better than Turbo Jam. However, I love Chalene. She's such a great motivator and really gives you the feeling like she cares about your success. Turbo Jam is…
  • They want to know what pill you took or what fad diet you followed. Once you tell them hard work through exercise and eating right, they won't be so interested anymore.
  • Oh... Leah... You need to train him! LOL! You'll do fine at the dentist. Great job getting your workout in early! Yesterday was not a great day. TOM kicked my a**. I was so tired that I didn't even want to think about what to eat let alone make it. Needless to say, I skipped my workout and crashed on the couch…
  • Honestly, it totally depends on how I feel. Last month, I felt alright and did my scheduled workout. I felt great! However, I'm exhausted this month and might skip tonight's workout. I tried to workout last night and didn't get through the whole thing so I think I need some rest. Listen to your body. However, make sure you…
  • A few days to a week of Start it Up. 2 weeks of Ramp it Up and the last 3 weeks of Burn it Up. 6 days a week for six weeks. After 6 weeks, take an active recovery week and start over if you want. Most importantly.. . Listen to your body. Move onto the next level when you feel ready. The calendar isn't set in stone. You can…

  • I've did Slim in 6 years ago! I had great results from it. The program really does work if you eat right. However, you do the same workout everyday for 2 weeks. So, if you would be bored with that, I'd pick a different program. I've also done Turbo Jam. It's alot of fun dancey kickboxing. However, I prefer Turbo Fire. The…
  • Replace the advanced workout with a similar workout that comes with the normal program. So if Upper?? (not sure of the number) is on the calendar, do Sculpt 30. If it's Lower??, do Tone 30. Mix and match the HIIT and Fire days based on how much time you have to work out that day.
  • Depends on what you're looking for in a workout. They're both well rounded programs with both cardio and resistance. Turbo Fire is more focused on cardio conditioning. The workous are mostly dancing/kickboxing stuff. Chalean Extreme is more focused on strength training using heavy weights. I have both and am currently…
  • Thankfully, I don't have to decide. The brewery near my house uses the wort from their beer to make ice cream! So it's ice cream with a hint of the flavor of the beer... WooT!
  • I'm not in Canada, but if you can't find the stuff, you might need to substitute. Well you found the 45 calorie hot chocolate so use that. Honestly, fat free cheese isn't worth it. It tastes like card board. I'd opt for reduced fat. You can easily compare the nutritionals of what you have with what is in the recipe by…
  • I think which one you do depends on your personality and which trainer you prefer. I've tried a different workout program by Tony Horton. He's great, but I found his sense of humor a little goofy and annoying and I love Chalene. So, I decided to get CLX. Unfortunately, I haven't done a whole round of CLX since I wasn't…
  • You have alot of "quick added" calories so it's hard to know what you're actually eating. Make sure you're close to getting the right macro nutrients (carbs, protein and fat). Ideally, all your meals should contain protein and carbs. Make sure you're eating enough fruit and veggies as well. The veggies will fill you up…

  • Congrats on the losses, Leah and misslouisee!! Yesterday was a total veg on the couch day. Honestly... I barely moved all day.... I was in Jersey Friday night and Saturday. Friday night, I hung out with my sister and a few friends (read as late night). Then Saturday morning, I went shopping with my mom and sister. Saturday…
  • Honestly, I'd be thrilled if I lost 2 pounds since August 1st. Unfortunately, the less you have to lose the slower the pounds come off... The body is really quite evil. Diet is a huge factor. You can't exercise off all the junk food. Ween yourself off the crap. Every week, replace one junk food item and replace it with a…
  • Every year at band camp.... I watched everyone else do stupid stuff and watch them march extra drills in the hot sun when they got caught. :P I was one of the good (ie boring) girls.
  • Definitely Fall!! I love the crisp cool air, and the changing leaves. I hate the extreme heat of summer. I'm already looking forward to fall and it won't get cool around here for atleast a month still. Sweater... boots... Halloween... Spring is a close second. I love how one day the trees are bare and the next they're…
  • I totally agree with this. Your WW meeting experience depends on the leader. My mom is a lifetime WWer, but she only got to her goal weight and made "lifetime" after she found a leader she liked. Her leader definitely promotes exercise as being part of the program.
  • I go through all the "paid programming" listings at the top and mid point of the hour looking for the Turbo Fire infomercials (usually on Sunday mornings when there's really nothing else on TV anyway). LOL! Yes, I'm a little nuts! Also might need to get myself a "Genie Bra" and the new Shark vacuum cleaner. :P I'm in week…
  • Morning!! My next weigh-in was supposed to be this morning, but I forgot. Maybe it's my brain's subconscious way of telling me to stop focusing on the scale and start focusing on fitness... I'll probably get on the scale some time next week. We'll see.
  • If you walk too close to me, I might attack you and steal your peanut butter! btw- love the atari pants!
  • Well I need to sleep at some point! He touches them enough even with a bra on! LOL!
  • I agree. I don't deny myself anything either. If I really want something, I make it fit. I drink beer and eat pizza probably once a week... Sometimes beer a little more frequently. I've finally learned that if I designate certain foods as "can't have," I'll want them more and eventually binge. I'd rather do a little bit…

  • My cats do that sometimes. I think they do it when they feel threatened. Their tails also get really poofy. They're trying to make themselves appear larger to intimidate their foes. It's pretty hilarious though.
  • I don't go to the gym. I opt to workout at home. However, good for you! I dislike people who step into my business uninvited. Way to stand up for yourself and your friend.
  • You bring up a very good point. I wear a bra to bed because my husband wouldn't let me get any sleep if I didn't. :P
