I have finally got turbo jam. What do you guys think about it? Better than jillian michaels? It looks like it might not kill you as much but might be more fun!

If you enjoy those types of workouts, it's great. Personally, I have no coordination and I get easily frustrated when I can't keep up, so Turbo Jam drove me nuts. It's the same reason that Zumba is my worst nightmare. I tried Turbo Jam for a few days and ended up selling the DVDs. That being said, Chalene is AMAZING! I'm currently doing ChaLEAN Extreme, which is more my style. She has great energy (without being annoying) and she's SO encouraging. You're going to love working out with her!

I love it!! I've only done the first dvd of it though. I've fine TurboFire as well and love the trainer Chalene! I found Jillian got really annoying after just doing the Shred for a few days-stuck to it but had to blast my music so I digby have to hear her lol. I don't find Chalene annoying though...the way she motivates is different than Jillian, and I guess I respond to her was better. As far as calories burned I burned around the same with both, Turbo jam to me is a lot more fun of a workout to do though:)

Honestly, I can't stand Jillian! Her way of motivating is a little aggressive for me. I haven't bought any of her stuff. So I can't tell you whether her workouts are better than Turbo Jam. However, I love Chalene. She's such a great motivator and really gives you the feeling like she cares about your success. Turbo Jam is alot of fun.

I'm the same way. I like watching, reading about and learning from Jillian, but I just CANNOT "work out with her." I borrowed a friend's copy of 30DS and I returned it within 2 weeks because I just couldn't handle her. That being said, the workouts were great...if there was a mute button. Turbo Jam however....let's just put it this way. It was the first "workout program" I ever truly was able to COMMIT to, and I lost 40lbs in one summer, 60lbs total. Because of Turbo Jam, I live the healthy lifestyle I now live. Turbo Jam opened fitness doors to me that I didn't know existed. I'm doing TurboFire again now, but I'm a true Beachbody Junkie, and I even became a coach...all because of my start with Turbo Jam!

Turbo Jam was part of busting through my plateau in the past couple of months, so I give it a thumbs up.

I'm not uncoordinated per se. I used to tell myself that I was and was very intimidated by dance or heavily choreographed cardio, but it turns out that while it takes time for me to pick up routines, once I do, I'm fine. When I started TJ in June, I thought I would never get it and the first couple of times were frustrating, but I knew realistically that I wasn't going to "get it" in one or two tries. It took doing each of the TJ workouts 4-5 times before I became seamless. You will have to call on your patience if you don't pick up choreo quickly.

Is turbo fire harder than turbo jam. Do people start with jam and then go on to fire?

In a short response, yes. It's made to be tougher. That being said, I know plenty of people who started with TurboFire. It breaks things down for you, so you're not lost.

    HELL YES!

Turbo Jammer for what 5-6 now over here!! Did it 6 days a week for 4 years strait then found MFP, joined a gym, tried JM30DS and other stupid things to realize never was I in more shape with better arms/back than when I did Turbo Jam. I have Turbo Fire as well and sometimes classic is best, learning new fitness things is so overrated ;) - luckily Turbo Jam cost me $15, TF $60, ChaLean Extreme $25, Insanity free and JM free since I'm a super deal hunter.

JM sucks as a human being - ugly and annoying, she is not inspirational and not qualified/licensed to be a trainer in most states, she's a PR person by profession. That being said 30DS does kick your a*s strength-training wise but again, Turbo Jam with weighted gloves gave me the lean arms you see in my profle pic, LOVE IT!

Personally I love Jillian Michaels....I also think anything by Beach Bodies is Gold

I hope it works out for you and best of luck

P.S. Have you seen that Jillian has a 60day program? Its supposedly harder than P90X & Insanity; I watched some video clips of some of the workouts and they're CRAZY!!! I want it soooo bad
