  • I was a WW member for a while. I did it all online. I cancelled my subscription when I stopped using it. I basically got annoyed having to take the extra step to figure out Points values. I think WW is great. If you need meetings and that type of accountability, I'd definitely consider joining. However, keep in mind that…
  • I wouldn't wear them everyday to fit into clothes are too small. My clothes fit right, however under skirts and dresses it nice to smooth out some of the lumps. Not to mention, it prevents the dreaded skirt wedgie. :P

  • This is what I do. I think it's a more accurate way to track than using MFP's estimates on how many calories you've burned.
  • Just a few suggestions. Instead of the craisins, try fresh fruit. Also, even though the sandwhich thins are convenient, they aren't filling and three of them in a day is a little diet-y. I think they're great for sandwhiches, but as snacks, they really don't cut it for me. You might want to consider switching them out for…
  • One- i wouldn't call it "blowing" money because I've used every single one of them. Two- I work hard to earn my money and like to spend some it on myself. Might as well buy something useful that will improve my health and fitness.
  • I will have to say Jillian.. I've never done her workouts. I can't even stand her 30 second commercial so doing a whole workout with her just isn't going to happen.
  • I do this. ^^ However, I'm only in those stinky sweaty clothes for an hour or two before I take my shower before bed. On the weekend I work out in the morning and will wear my workout clothes for a few hours while I putz around the house, cleaning and such. I'll take a shower when I'm done doing house work.
  • I have atleast 8 sets of Beachbody DVD's. All bought in the last 8 years... I'm averaging one set a year. Nothing but the best for me. :P Edit to add: That's atleast 30 different DVD's.
  • Change up your exercise routine. Something as simple as increasing weight during strength training days or increasing the intensity on cardio days can push you out of your plateau.

  • Your weight gain is a poor excuse for him being an *kitten*. My husband loved me when I was fit and thin and he still loved me after I gained 40+ pounds. You deserve someone who will love you no matter what you weigh.. or in my case, how crazy you are. :P We all go through rough times in life. I would be honest with…
  • I agree with this. My first thought looking at two weeks was that you're not eating enough. Make sure your net calories is atleast 1200 a day. Your body needs atleast that many calories to perform it's normal functions. I also noticed that you seem to be skipping meals on the weekends. I do this too sometimes, but it's not…
  • Definitely get the back altered to a lace up style so you know it'll fit. You don't want to cause additional stress on yourself during an already stressful time. However, keep trying to lose weight in a healthy manner. I wouldn't do anything over-the-top to lose those inches. Just keep it healthy.
  • My FIL was pre-diabetic years ago. His doctor made him count carbs. He was very stringent about it. He used to have atleast one alcoholic beverage a night. He gave that up and rarely eats sweets anymore. He has since lost enough weight that he is no longer pre-diabetic. He still keeps an eye on those carbs though. I'd…
  • To lose 1 pound, you need a calorie deficit of 3500. To lose 2 pounds a week, you'd need a calorie deficit of 1000 calories a day. However, your net calories (Total calories eaten- calories burned through exercise) should never go below 1200. Your body needs those 1200 calories to support basic bodily functions. As for…
  • Great job! You look amazing!
  • I agree with avoiding the Special K bars if you want to cut down on carbs and sugar. I always get frozen edamame. They come in on of those steam fresh bags. They are a great snack and packed with protein.
  • If I wait too long between meals and am overly hungry, I'll get a serious headache and horrendous stomach pains. I generally eat ever 3 hours or so. I tend to be hungry in the moring. I will eat a half of a banana if I'm working out in the morning because I'll get light headed and won't have any energy to actually finish…
  • Since you're at a good weight for your height, you might want to focus more on getting smaller instead of losing weight. You could easily build muscle and burn fat, but not see much in the way of weight loss. Try using your measurements and Body fat % to measure success instead of the number on the scale.
  • You're right.. It's not alot. The only time you should be concerned is if you're gaining for numerous consecutive weeks. It's probably just your body's natural fluctuation. I have my official weigh in day on Friday, and generally take a mid-week sneaky peek. However, the only weigh in that really counts is that Friday one.
  • I've heard she does P90X. She looks great so I'd bet that she works out daily. She's obviously not eating this stuff everyday. People need to relax! No one is perfect.
  • Thanks for posting this! I'll have to do it when I get home. I despise using BMI to determine what my ideal weight is.
  • If it's your natural body shape, no workout or diet will make you have a defined waist. However, with the proper cut of clothes you can give your body the appearance of a defined waist.
  • ~ I love hard rock. ~ My language was so bad at my last job that a co-worker bet me that I couldn't say the F-word less than 50 times in a week. ~ Liked to look at homicide crime scene photos when I worked at the County Prosecutor's Office. ~ Was a dance major in college before I changed it to paralegal studies.

  • I've done a few of the Turbo Fire workouts. I don't remember what the modification for them is, but there is a person doing low impact modifications on the right of Chalene that you can follow.
  • I weigh in once a week. Usually Friday mornings. I wouldn't worry about those 2 pounds. It's probably water retention. I'd focus more on the long term instead of the week to week. If the trend is downward, then you're fine. I agree with taking your measurements about once a month. That's a really good way to measure your…
  • Coupons! Scour the internet for sales and coupons when you have the time. I don't do this nearly enough, but it really does help when you're on a budget.
  • I just eat what I normally would. However, I'm more cautious about sodium intake the night before, and I have my weigh in day on Friday so I can prevent eating out the night before weigh in. I like to have the four days during the week to recover from any parties that might have taken place on the weekend.
  • The symptoms of and their severity vary from person to person. I've never been on the pill so I can't tell you whether or not it's just your body adjusting. I usually get really bad cramps for the first 2 days and experience headaches and fatigue the first day. For those especially uncomfortable nights, I'll take one advil…
  • UGH!! I sit on my bum all day at work too. Somehow, I managed to strain a muscle on my right side around my rib cage last week. Must have twisted funny at my desk. It's too hot here for lunch time walks outside. Some days I'll head to the mall and roam around... I park at the opposite end of the mall that I need to get…
  • LOL!! They do take some getting used to. I was a dancer and hated going commando. So, the only alternative was to wear a thong. You don't feel it after a while.
