Ah ha! You're not in CA! I am Inland Empire, CA...already in the right state. See you there, regardless!

I am also running the San Diego with TNT. See you there! I am Inland Empire team...you? P.S. You can totally do it. I know you can, and TNT will give you all the support you need to do it!

Thanks, everyone, for the well-wishes and the advice. So far so good, though my stomach isn't thrilled with eating so much more! I am currently training to run a marathon in June. I'll still only be second trimester, so I'm curious to see what the Dr. will say about that.... Here's to a healthy pregnancy! :)

Eh, eat 'em anyway. I buy the 100 calorie bags, and I allow myself to eat them ONLY at the end of the day IF I still have calories left over. You have to really want them to plan that well for them. And to be honest, I rarely want them anymore.

I just signed up to run a marathon! I'm running with Teams in Training (look 'em up!), and they totally train you. I have a whole mess of people encouraging me and training me to do it. And if I don't, I'm screwed, because I've told everyone I'm doing it, and asked them to donate to cancer research in my name. Perhaps…

I don't know, but tell me...do you like it? I'm debating on spending the 40 bucks. I usually run 4 mi. on the treadmill. Is Just Dance enough of a workout?

Well, I'm sure you could absolutely do it without a personal trainer. On the other hand, it seems that it would be both informative and encouraging to have someone telling you what to do to better your workouts. Why not follow his advice AND work on your own...the best of both worlds?

I teach, but I have the opposite problem...I'm off until the 10th, and right now is when it's the worst for me. I do better when I have a set schedule. Does your school have a weight room, gymnasium or track? Sometimes I tell myself that I can't go home until I've worked out. I also try to bring a plethora of healthy…

I'd like to run five miles this afternoon before the New Year's party. That way I don't have to think too much about the food I eat there, although it will all still be "best option" snacks.

Yes! (No to the Twilight Zone episode, though.) I love when I have calories left in the evening and I can have a beer or a glass of wine. At first, I was so afraid of alcohol because everyone kept talking about all the empty calories. Looking up the nutritional facts was a (pleasant) eye opener! Enjoy it! You saved for it,…

As a teacher, I concur: If Mom delivers, that's different than food from a student. Moms that are known around the school are much different than my random jr. high school student bringing me a cupcake with smudges on the top or a cookie wrapped in a napkin. :)

Wahoo!!! That's very cool! I had to wear a certain shirt yesterday for an annual event. I had mine from last year, but was swimming in it, so had to settle for something in a similar color. The little things are TOTALLY the big things! Congrats! :)

I'm a teacher, too, and so while I'm driving home I always eat a snack. Beef jerky (I don't usually eat meat until dinner) or almonds are easy to munch on while driving. My dietitian recommends a carb and a protein together...the carb provides quick energy, and the protein gives the longer energy. Low-fat string cheese. A…

My favorite, and a good way to sneak in veggies. 2 c. uncooked mac 1/4 c. flour 1 3/4 c. fat free milk 3 1/2 oz. red. fat shredded cheddar 6 oz. Velveeta 1 tb. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. pepper 6 oz. frozen chopped spinach 1 can no salt added petite diced tomatoes, drained 1. Preheat to 375. Non-stick spray in casserole…

I'd pick a time and just stick to it. No matter which day you count the calories on, it needs to be consistent. I also have leftovers available at my work, but sometimes I find it easier to bring my own food. It's easier to stick to a strict calorie count and to limit myself to what I really want to eat at a meal. Don't…

Thank you! I wish you would tell me that every day! Actually, my husband is on board, too. Some days he'll exercise with me, but on the others, he won't start cooking dinner until I'm on the treadmill. If I'm hungry (and I usually am by then, because of the reduced calories), I had better get running!

This is my first time posting on this site, though I've been using it for months. It was SO ENCOURAGING to see your pics! I opened your blog and looked at the first picture...I saw myself. I started at 200-ish, and have lost 20. Your goals are my goals, and now that I see how good skinny looks on you, I'm double…
