Weekend runner. I'd love some motivation as well, especially for Monday-Friday.

My husband and I tried to conceive for 2.5 years. I lost 50 lbs. and immediately got pregnant. We started trying recently for #2. I lost that same 50 lbs., and got pregnant at the exact weight (to the pound) as the first time. Do I believe it was excess weight preventing us from conceiving? Absolutely.

Mahler's bakery (mahlersbakery.com) makes bread with one NET carb per slice. My sister can get it at the commissary on base, although I've only seen it at one farmer's market besides that. It's decent tasting. She's diabetic, and eats it frequently. I'm not quite as convinced...I'd rather fit a regular slice or two into my…

Or sometimes a light hand on the bar instead of gripping it. Like, just my fingertips.

i had the same problem, but I wouldn't get sore until after. Once I realized it was the stroller, that was half the battle. I made a conscious effort to drop my shoulders while running, and after a while, I didn't have to constantly tell myself anymore. Also, I DO push off and swing my arms a bit. It feels like more work…

I ran a full marathon eight months after my son was born. I was breast feeding at the time. I ran with a team, which practiced over an hour away each Saturday. It's possible, but you've got to really want it. I've read that some babies can get picky with lactic acid in the milk, but mine didn't have a problem with it. Feel…

My dr told me that sometimes when starting a thyroid medicine, your thyroid stops working quie as much...it's like it takes a little break. I would also be paying attention to when you take your meds, what you take them with, and the other foods you eat during the day. Look at the literature from the pharmacist...soy can…

I agree with the above posters, but sometimes if I'm in a hurry, I will look through the database and find a similar food and choose the entry with a middle-high caloric value. For example, I made broccoli salad from scratch but had to leave right away. In the database are many types of broccoli salad, but I chose the one…

I'll be 32 in June, and I've got a 1.5 yr. old boy. I'm finally back to my pre-pregnancy weight, and hoping to get pregnant again any time! I'm on every day and working hard to lose the pounds. Feel free to add me!

My husband and I "practiced" for 2.5 years to have a baby. I finally said heck with it, and signed up to run a marathon. Sure enough, the day of training kickoff, we discovered we were pregnant. My "little" guy is now 1.5 yrs., and we've been "practicing" again for a few months for baby #2. I'm half-serious when I tell him…

i joined Team In Training and committed to run a marathon. Team in Training raises money for blood cancer research. I signed a contract stating that if I backed out or didn't meet my fundraising goal, I'd still pay the money I had agreed to raise. That kept me motivated! I couldn't afford NOT to run! Plus, meeting with a…

After a marathon, have you ever seen people wearing thermal blankets? That's because their evaporating sweat is cooling their body more rapidly than they'd like, and they've got to warm up. In addition, their bodies have just spent hours concentrating on moving muscles, maintaing heart rate, etc., and not so much on…

I decided to do 30 Day Shred because I've heard so much about it from other users on this site. I prefer to run with Little in the jogging stroller, but it's been chilly. I plan on doing Shred a few days a week, running when I can in good weather, with -- realistically -- two rest days a week.

Count me in! Middle school Language Arts.

It seems like there's a lot of middle school teachers here. My husband says we're a special breed. :) I teach 8th gr. Langauge Arts. I'd have to say that working on research reports makes me stress eat! Would love more friends to hold me accountable.

When I was little, each kid had a "list of 5." These were five things we could opt out from if they were served. Since one of mine for a long time was chicken, I ended up making myself other meals sometimes. Others, though, were silly: beets (which were never served), peas (which my mom hated too, and therefore were never…

I weigh at work every Tuesday morning for our Biggest Loser competition, and again on Thursday night with my weight loss Bible study. Two places to keep me accountable seems to help me toe the line...and the money I'll win at work isn't bad, either! (Fingers crossed!!)

Wonderful work, ladies! I am back to MFP to lose my baby weight (from my 15-month-old!). You all are my inspiration! :)
