  • Barbie is correct, Fitbit calculates how many calories you are burning, based off how many steps you take in a day - that has nothing to do with what 'activity level' you set on MFP - that number would be the same if you weren't using MFP at all. When you set an activity level on MFP, MFP decides how many calories they…
  • If I'm understanding correctly, and I'm not sure that I am, you are not logging exercise, but you want it to show up in your newsfeed for motivation? You'll need to log the exercise so it shows up, then delete the activity. It will still remain in your newsfeed after deleting.
  • Not here, I only get a calorie adjustment when I enter an activity - it isn't syncing throughout the day like it should.
  • I've done that at least 20 times, doesn't fix it permanently for me.. ....because... this isn't a user side issue.
  • *Update* Just tried what I said above and once again, this worked for me. So at least in my case, it seems like the only time Fitbit is ever pushing over the calorie adjustment is when an activity is entered (or deleted) on either side (Fitbit or MFP, I tried both sides and both forced a sync). My food is also pushing over…
  • I got a response over on the Fitbit message boards from a moderator yesterday. This is what he said: There seems to be an issue with syncing information from Fitbit to MFP and vice versa. Do know that our engineers are aware and we're working on providing a fix for this soon. Thanks a lot for your patience and please let…
  • Mine still is only working intermittently. Yesterday I got it to sync a few times by adding an activity on the fitbit side and that would force it. It seemed to update on its own after that for the rest of last night. I use drivebit when driving to work in the morning, so it synced immediately after (around 2 1/2 hrs ago)…
  • I completely agree, if you haven't been able to sync for a year, something is wrong with one of your accounts or settings. I would contact someone for support.
  • I tried my "Fix" again by adding a fake activity on Fitbit side, and once again, it forced the sync with MFP, then I just removed it and it synced again. It still isn't syncing on its own but at least I can get it to force without unlinking/relinking 42 times.
  • I really don't see that working at all on darker hair like hers, she'd look like George Washington with all the white residue left over.
  • I'm sorry I don't have a suggestion for you but I"m guessing that your mother joining a gym is not an option - and I find it frustating that's the first thing people are suggesting. While the bike may be expensive, it is also expensive to join a gym, and if she doesn't have way of getting there every day, then what? I…
  • I lost 80 lbs with Weight Watchers years ago and loved it. I kept off the weight for about 2 years until I slowly started gaining it all back. I did it again eventually and lost 40 lbs. Then I decided to try MFP. I stopped WW once I started inputting my food into MFP and realized that I was eating WAYYYYYY too low a number…
  • Did you revoke the access on the Fitbit side? If you've been having this problem for a month the I'd probably suggest contacting Fitbit, there may be a deeper issue. Same goes to the OP. This problem only started happening again within the last 1 or 2 days for the rest of us.
  • Honestly, it sounds like you are talking about two different things and may be a bit confused. You said you want a HRM so you can see how much you burn while at work, but then mentioned an activity tracker. They are two different things. something like Fitbit is a pedometer - it counts your steps and then uses an equation…
  • Batiste makes colored dry shampoo, they have brunette, red, blonde. I too used to get the white film on my reddish hair, so I got the colored Batiste Dry shampoo and it is awesome.
  • @amitysk I have the same dishes! :)
  • I use Pinterest for things I haven't tried yet that I found line, organized into categories. I also keep a board of things I've made. Then I use Plantoeat.com It is AWESOME. I save all of my recipes in there and use it to plan my meals and grocery lists. Honestly, I don't know how I survived without it before.
  • we all have different tastes. I have purchased multiple Weight WAtchers cookbooks over the years and never liked any of them. Just had no desire to even try any of the recipes. the Eat What you Love Books have recipes that appeal to me much more.
  • Oatmeal (makes me gag), Most fish, Quinoa (weird texture), Spinach (i'll only eat it in dip), Brussels Sprouts (disugsting)
  • Try the "fix" i posted above.
  • Hmm.. that's weird it works for me. Do you have negative calories enabled?
  • I've had my Fitbit for less than a year, and I've experienced synching issues at least 6 times that I can recall, they usually last 2 to 3 days, sometimes longer. It is VERY frustrating when that happens. I need to be able to rely on the integration to work all the time or at least more than 90% of the time, but it feels…
  • Someone had suggested this (I don't remember who) and it actually works. Rather than unlinking/relinking your accounts over and over again, you can do this instead: Enter an activity on the Fitbit side. For example, I entered a 15 minute driving activity. MFP then IMMEDIATELY received an updated calorie adjustment. Then I…
  • I got my answer elsewhere. My newsfeed has nothing to do with my reason for asking about this. I'm already not posting my weight there.

  • I know this is an old thread, but I just got the Kickboxing DVD and tried the first Workout last night. It was so much fun!! It went so fast and I burned a ton of calories, but I had fun the entire time. I had tried 30DS and only go through about 19 days because I got bored of it. I was so tired of doing the same workout…
  • I know this is an old thread, but Marlene Koch's books can't even be compared to Hungry Girl. The Eat What you Love Recipes are light years beyond Hungry Girl as far as taste goes.
  • I know this is an old thread, but I have both of these books and recently just got her new one "Eat What You Love Everyday" and so far I think it is my favorite. I want to make at least 3/4 of the recipes in the book. Last night I tried the Chicken Enchilada Pasta Skillet which was delicious. And today I made the Cheesy…
  • There were problems all day yesterday, which may also be happening today. You can continue to unlink/relink a hundred times but that's only going to get it to sync once. There is nothing you can do to permanently fix it until the server issues are fixed. We just have no explanation from Fitbit or MFP as to what is causing…
  • You've posted this same exact thing in multiple threads where people are complaining of an issue with syching. Clearly, you were not experiencing the synching issue, but there were many of us who clearly WERE having an issue. You telling us you're not having the problem doesn't really help in any way whatsoever.
