  • Just like Golfbird said. I've done military training without any food, and all of us started smelling like that. It was our body eating muscle.
  • I've done keto before. I had the same experience initially. I can tell you that the weight you initially lost was probably not all fat, it was mainly water that you were retaining. When you go keto, your sodium levels drop, when sodium levels drop so does the amount of fluid you retain. You will feel different when you go…
  • Don't stop lifting. Muscle burns more calories at rest than anything else.
  • I'm not a doctor but your calorie intake is too low. INSANITY isn't your regular type of workout, most people feel that after Insanity they are hungry for a period 48 hours. Also in some cases low potassium can cause vertigo. I hope its just a lack of calories and nothing serious that requires too much medical attention.…
  • We should wake this up!!!
  • I eat low carb. When you are dropping down to below 50 grams of carbs, drink plenty of water. It makes it easier to manage. Coffee helps but don't drink too much. Get all your carbs from vegetables!
  • Welcome Vanessa :), and what are you using to achieve your goal?
  • I agree with Stooooo, on everything he said. I am a Coach as well, and do not regret the decision at all. I have made profits but nothing to quit my day job ;). Its really a group of people helping people, becoming a coach is great even if all you want is the discounts from Beachbody. None of their programs suck, they all…
  • Do you have a smart phone or will you be near a computer at any time? Droid and Iphone have apps, and makes it incredibly easy to add your food intake as you eat.
  • Vitamins and fish oil are two different things. You need a good vitamin as a base, since basically the vitamins are all the little helpers that make the engine run smoothly. Fish oil provides the support your body needs for optimal heart, brain, and joint health. Personal opinion, both are good to take but you need a good…
  • P90x is definitely worth it. I am currently using it as my daily fitness routine and have gained a lot of muscle with it. I don't take Shakeology because it contains whey protein, and I am allergic to whey. My wife drinks Shakeology everyday, she loves it, feel free to ask her what she thinks about it. Her screen name is…
  • Cool, thanks. My wife and I have Sportlines but they both report calories burned differently. Mine sometimes says I burn an extra 600 compared to hers. Weird?
  • Welcome :) good luck and feel free to add me too !
in Hi :) Comment by MrOutfit December 2010
  • :) the results will come, always push forward. What is YOUR formula for success going to be ?
  • Heart rate is definitely the biggest factor. The more you rev the engine, the more "fuel" you will burn. Don't rev too much though, you don't want to feel like your heart is going to explode out of chest either. Good luck, just keep pushing play and forget about the rest, BRING IT! :) With the use of Beachbody products....…
  • @sunlover, that's a good goal. 30 pounds in 5 months, the "experts" say 8 pounds a month is healthy. Set your target YOU will get there :).
  • Sounds pretty good :). I would say good luck but its not a lottery, you will definitely win if you follow a plan and stick to it :). Any questions about MFP, I can help. MFP has helped me a lot with my workouts  Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Nutrition Facts For Foods
  • Thats a reasonable goal. What physical activity are you doing and how well are you tracking your food intake? Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Nutrition Facts For Foods
  • Food matters is a great movie. If you have Netflix add these to your instant queue as well, they are great. "Food, Inc", "King Corn", "Killer at Large", and "The Beautiful Truth". Food, Inc made me redefine my the way I looked at food forever. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Nutrition Facts For Foods
  • I second or 3rd that...sweating is good. Some sweat more than others. My personal opinion if you don't sweat, your not revving the engine enough to burn fat ;).
  • Couldn't have said it better myself. Strengthing the ab muscle also massages the internal organs, haven't you ever had the urge to use the bathroom after an ab workout? Low body fat is the only way to ever see your abs but why not keep your abs strong until you see them ;).
  • I am currently doing P90x and I have taken Russian Bear 5000 in the past. Russian Bear 5000 is really for some one that is lifting HEAVY weights/ bodybuilding because the protein and carb amount is so high. In P90x unless you add a lot of weights to your workout you wont bulk, its a great program, but its more focused for…
  • The longer you stay on the Ketogenic diet the better. I did it for a long time, I went thru a heavy induction period, I was forgetting things, I was real sluggish for the first 3 weeks but after that point I every time I ate my body was raging with energy. Currently I have upgraded to Primal eating which is low carb…
  • Eliminate grains, get all or most of your carbs from fruits and vegetables. Avoid as much processed foods as possible. Make sure you at least hit your minimum protein required for your lean body mass. Fat is very important on a low carb diet because its where your energy is going to come from. Not all fat is created equal…
  • Its definitely an awesome program, it takes all the thinking portion away from you, all you have to do is press play and do it. I did P90x in 2009 and saw awesome results, right now I am about to complete INSANITY, and then I will do another round of P90x. If you are interested just check out this lady's website…
