  • Anyone please add me as well...I've also been looking for friends in their 30's with kiddos. I have two boys...8 and 5 and work full time. Currently trying a low-carb plan and it's really working for me. I log on everyday and would love to support each other.
  • I've had my PCOS diagnosis for many years now and have always struggled. A lot of the other posters have you given you great information. I've had luck being on Metformin and Birth control for controlling symptoms and helping with infertility ( I have 2 boys). I was able to lose weight well in the past when I did weight…

  • Dealing with some hormonal imbalance as well....what hormones are you having issues with...thyroid? estrogen? testosterone? There ARE things you can do...maybe try a different doctor. The low carb is so hard but it does help. I've also had issues with my cycle lately and my thyroid was elevated...waiting for a 2nd blood…
  • I've never tried 5 hour energy but I have recently been using Advocare Spark energy drink which is sugar free and also contains B vitamins. It's expensive and from a MLM business but people seem to love it. You could try that.
  • I found that a combo of metformin and birth control helped me to conceive. It was easiest to conceive the month right after I stopped the pill. I continued with the metformin through the first trimester.
  • Would love to add you as a friend....I've been on Metformin for 15 years and have conceived twice. I would love to support you!
  • I have PCOS and charted before my first pregnancy 9 years ago...however the temps never did what they were supposed to. I found that checking my cervical mucous was much more accurate in indicating ovulation. Have you read 'taking charge of your fertility" by Toni Weschler? That booked helped me a lot. I also found it was…
  • Oh my...I so remember weighing in front of my husband when I was getting ready to have our first baby. I had gone through all my O.B appts. with a wonderful nurse that never said the number out loud. When I was checking into the hospital the wicked nurse said the number OUTLOUD and I wanted to jump across the room and claw…

  • You may not need to eat your calories back...but just hang in there. I've always been a slow loser. I remember going on diets with friends and family members and usually you lose a lot in the first week right? Well I never ever did and I would give up. Even here on MFP I was doing everything just like I was supposed to and…
  • I have been on Metformin and birth control for almost 15 years and did not have any trouble conceiving both my boys. When TTC I stayed on Metformin for the first 12-14 weeks and then tapered off. I did however, have Gestational Diabetes and was on insulin with both pregnancies. I am currently taking 1500 mg. but have also…
  • I just started Monday..and I'm so slow! Walking at a 3.3 and jogging at a 3.5. On Tuesday I did a beginning Kettlebell workout that left me incredibly sore....way too many squats. I was a little nervous about jogging today but after I started it actually helped with the soreness...who knew???
  • I feel the same way about the metformin...not sure if it's helping...I sure hope it's not harmful after all these years!
  • I started taking Metformin about 12 years ago and was able to conceive twice without too much difficulty. However, getting weight off is still really hard! The combo of metformin and the pill seems to work for me.
  • I've been on metformin for over 10 years and through 2 pregnancies. I take it for about 3 months into the pregnancy. I had gestational diabetes with both pregnancies and was insulin dependent. I am thinking of having a 3rd. child now. Start the metformin slowly- 1 pill at a time till you get used to it. And take it with…

Just trying to get healthier and at a better weight. I would love to swap some recipes. My easiest/ favorite crock pot meal is to just buy some cheap chunked up stew…
