I am in that club...had it all my life. Never was able to have any children. I am 53 and I think I am in menopause, but I have no symptoms of menopause. Last time I had blood work done early this year my fsh and lh were in the normal range. I wasn't diagnosed until I was in my late 20's or early 30's.

I am large and I didn't notice a loss in sizes until I lost around 35 - 40 lbs I think. I was in a 4X and now wear a 3X, depending on the clothing style or manufacturer. It is very frustrating to lose weight and inches and not see a noticeable change in clothing sizes.

I don't know the answer to that, but I know that when I eat later at night, it shows up on the scale....yes, even vegetable soup. Everyone is different, so it may not bother some, but then again..... Just experiment and see how you feel and if it makes a difference on the scale.

I have some steel cut oats I think...been so long since I looked. I am afraid to eat oatmeal just yet. I think I may try some when the weather gets colder. I am not sure about you, but for an insulin resistant person, yes it can make you gain weight. There are a lot of useless carbs in sugar. How much sugar did you have and did you count it in your calorie allotment for the day? If that is part of your daily calories, eating that little for one thing, can put your fat cells…

For Thanksgiving, I will treat myself to a small serving of sweet potatoes...but there is a Turkey bake I can make that is like turkey and stuffing made with cauliflower...sounds good too...and the picture of it looked yummy!
