  • 2500. Lift heavy 3 days a week, Lightly active the rest. I do not eat back exercise calories. Already estimated in.
  • Log it. Look at how many calories are in the cookie BEFORE you eat it. If you still want it, then eat it, BUT limit yourself to A single serving.
  • Are you having sex a LOT more now? If so then why not just bump up your activity level? I would not log that as exercise. Things like sex, cleaning etc, unless you are wearing a HRM and logging from BMR, should not be calculated.
  • You are binge eating. Be consistent. This woman ate 700 calories a day during the week and binged on the weekend. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/core_march_8.htm

  • I am part of that group and a huge advocate of it. Since I upped my calories and started lifting heavy 6 weeks ago, I have dropped 6 lbs and 3 % body fat. Feel free to add me as well. My diet isn't always the cleanest, but its still working :D
  • If you are looking for a quick fix, you came to the wrong place. What kind of work do you do? DO you actually exercise 30 minutes a day? What is your goal weight?
  • Wow...avocado is a super food. Eating one a day is GREAT for you. Don't be afraid of fat! You need it!
  • Do you like avocado? If so, sub out mayo for avocado on sandwiches. Its awesome and I used to be a mayo fanatic. I think it actually tastes better. If its in your calorie goals, though I wouldn't sweat it.
  • Plugging in your numbers, your TDEE for MODERATE (3-5 hours of exercise a week) activity is 2279. Since you don't have much to lose, I would say a 15% cut would get you there, putting you at 1937. So you should eat 1937 calories a day. If you have been at 1200 or below for a LONG time, I would suggest you eat at 2279 for…
  • What is your height and weight?
  • What is your deficit set at? And to answer your question, YES, you need to eat 1000 calories that day (if you are sure you are burning a 1000) to fuel your exercise. Do you expect to drive your car 800 miles and only fill it half way? Calories are not the enemy. They are the fuel for your body. If you are asking your body…
  • You are the classical binge eater. Looking at your diary you eat around 1200 calories a day during the week, then binge on the weekend. Give this a read, its about a woman who stayed obese eating 700 calories during the week, then binging on the weekend: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/core_march_8.htm You are KILLING your…
  • I understand that. However, you cannot CUT FAT in a surplus. When you CUT you are losing fat and muscle, you lift to maintain LBM in a Cut phase, and lift to ADD muscle (and fat as a side affect) in a surplus or BULK phase. The OP mentioned she is also trying to lose weight, that means she is cutting not bulking (as in…
  • No it won't. It will help build strength and prevent muscle loss while eating at a deficit will cut fat. Best site i have found: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/category/fat-loss/fat-loss-fundamentals
  • Me. Went from 1700 to 2400. Clothes still getting looser, haven't weighed in a while though.
  • I believe this to an extent. but 25% of her daily calories are coming from wine....that isn't good.
  • Holy cow. I am 5'10" and at my GOAL Weight my maintenance calories are 2500 (which ironically is my current cut intake). She should go to www.fat2fitradio.com and run her numbers through the calculators.
  • Are your portions and calorie intake in check? I remember I tried SB once. Dropped 9 lbs in the first phase, then gained back 17 when I broke the diet.
  • This! Oh, but I definitely concur on the Avacado for Mayo...YUM!
  • That is the most inaccurate description of EMWL I have ever seen.
  • Two Threads for you: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/538381-in-place-of-a-road-map and mine: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/586298-if-you-are-scared-to-increase-calories Its not that hard. :D Strength training to gain muscle, calorie deficit (cut) to lose fat. Use the calculators to start you off, then…
  • Go look at my profile. There is two people I do this for other than myself. My kids and My Ashley. I don't even think about doing it for anyone else, because Ashley is all the support I need and gives me more attention than I need :). However, in a past life I was married to someone who no matter what I did, either for…
  • I love how quick women are to judge. Maybe his wife doesn't give him any attention. Maybe she is rotten to him. Maybe he does everything for her and gets nothing in return...been known to happen.
  • Sounds like there might be more issues here than just enjoying the female attention. I was in your shoes, sounds like you need to re-evaluate your marriage. Talk to her first. Tell her how you feel and see how that makes you feel. You might be surprised what you say and how it makes you feel. Welcome to shoot me a message…
  • if you have been eating low calorie for a while you have trained your body to NOT be hungry.
  • Because she was balancing binges with extreme calorie deprivation. At the same time her body's metabolism slowed to a snails pace. So what happens is if you eat at 1000 calories a day, then go on a 2000 calorie binge once a week, your body is going to store all of those extra calories instead of burning them. If you binge…
  • I am experiencing the same thing. Try these stretches for a couple days and see if that helps. It did for me: http://www.spine-health.com/wellness/exercise/exercise-sciatic-pain-piriformis-syndrome
  • http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/core_march_8.htm Obesity on 700 calories a day.
  • Yikes, 5 days a week for over an hour? When do your muscles get rest? I agree you are not eating near enough calories. I am taking a week off from lifting to deal with some sciatica and I am still eating 2200 calories at a deficit (I am 5'10 206). When I lift I eat between 2400-2500 a day, lifting 3 X a week. I disagree on…
