  • Here is a female heavy lifter. You tell me if she is "bulky" or toned: http://www.youtube.com/user/AllisonNYC?feature=watch
  • Another trick I learned was to mix the cheese WITH the veggies and put that on top. I use half the amount I used to. I can make a veggie pizza, of which I could eat half a pizza (thats a 12 inch) for 600 calories. Now I am on a 2500 calorie diet, so that might be a lot more than some can go. But even 2 slices (1/4 pizza)…
  • Why would you stop drinking coffee? If you want you can start weening yourself off the sugar and creamer (creamer especially! Its laden with trans fats), that would be a good idea. An 8oz cup of coffee has 2 calories, anti-oxidants, and 125 mg of Potassium.

  • Kale Chips: 1 Bunch of Kale 1T Olive Oil Salt to taste. Preheat oven to 275. Wash and dry COMPLETELY a bunch of KALE. Break off into bite size pieces (I just rip em). Put in a plastic freezer bag. Drizzle with olive oil and shake the bag until they are coated evenly with the oil. Spread them out on a baking sheet with…
  • Listen to Helloitsdan. He knows what he is talking about. I am eating 2550 calories a day, and losing weight.
  • This is why I like the fat2fit method. I eat at my goal weight's TDEE. I don't track exercise (unless I work really hard, I want to ensure I am above my BMR). If it fits in my daily goal and doesn't wack out my macros I eat it. Its by far the EASIEST method I have found yet. I am getting 2500 calories a day, have energy…

  • I am a big fan of Muscle Milk. The only low sugar one I have found.
  • Ugggh. More fear mongering...just what we need.
  • Have a cupcake. I wanted an ice cream sundae last night so I made it. I measured it out, 320 calories of pure goodness...oh and I was still under my calorie macro for the day. Even if I wasn't, one day isn't going to kill my lifestyle.
  • Wait...your husband tells you that?

  • Congratulations. I think this might be the most offensive thing I have ever read on here.

  • I use Muscle Milk as an after workout snack, but never as a meal replacement.
  • Trader Joe's by far. Better stuff + Cheaper Prices = AWESOMENESS :)
  • If you set your goal to TDEE - 20% you do NOT track exercise as your exercise calories should be included in your TDEE calculation. Which multiplier did you use? If you work out 6-days you should probably use at least Moderately active.
  • My girlfriend used to get disabling migraines like the one's you mentioned. Once she started watching her sugar intake they went away almost completely. Now instead of once or twice a week she maybe gets one every 2 months.
  • THIS Eat 80% whole foods even. Its ok to indulge now and then as long as you hit your macros. If 80% of calories came from non-processed nutritious foods you would still see the same results
  • If you are only tracking progress this is correct. If you are using those measurements in calculations they need to be as right as you can make them.
  • For a female, isn't 18% a little on the low side?
  • Hips, Neck, and Waist to track body fat %. Also for women you measure waist at the natural waist (were the belly circumference is lowest), this is usually about halflway between your navel and your sternum (bottom of the breast bone). Its a lot higher on women than men.
  • You CANNOT lose 2lbs a week with only 14 to lose. You are KILLING your metabolism. When you stop "dieting" you are going to balloon up like crazy.
  • THIS! Amazing with apples. I mix 2T with 1 T water and nuke it for 30 seconds, mix, and you have an AMAZING apple dip.
  • Wow this couldn't be more wrong if you tried. Eat below your BMR (which is the BARE minimum your body needs to function) and you will KILL your metabolism.

  • Without knowing ANYTHING else about you: 1) Using these numbers (and your post that you want to lose 10 more pounds) your BMR comes up to 1480 calories. This is the MINIMUM number of calories you should eat. This is the number of calories needed to maintain your muscles and all your organs. 2) Your TDEE for your goal…
  • Try this recipie (no need for fake powder) 1 Medium Banana 1/4c Steel Cut Oats 3 Egg Whites 1 Whole Egg 1sp Molasses Cinnamon to taste (1-2 tsp) Grind the oats in a blender. Combine with the eggs, banana, cinnamon, molasses. Use a non-stick omlet pan to cook them. The whole batch: 398 Calories 23g protein
  • I don't get the Chobani fanatics here. Yuck. Expensive Yuck at that.
  • If you don't like it, why would you eat it? I don't eat yogurt plain. I do, however, use it as replacement for sour cream on potatoes. YUM!
  • For women (even on the military) the measurement should be at the natural waist, normally half way between the navel and sternum,
  • This is my girlfriend's favorite book and does a great job explaining a lot of that: http://www.amazon.com/You-Diet-Owners-Manual-Management/dp/0743292545
