Hmm. Food for thought. (See what I did there?!) Maybe it's a mindset problem...

That's where I struggle. I've come to know myself well over the last year, and I know that moderation just doesn't work. One always leads to another...

The track that really had me going today was The Sunshine Underground by Chemical Brothers. Starts slow, but speeds up and really gets me moving! Also, Girls, No Good, and Everybody In The Place by Prodigy and Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit.

I'm using ridiculously light weights in terms of numbers, but they are heavy to me! I did the workout, and it was a lot easier than I anticipated once I'd got warmed up and moving. Completed all reps so will be increasing weight on Friday!

Thanks everyone. I've seen foam rolling mentioned before, though I'm not sure how to do it (I work out at home). Off to YouTube again then!

Bump for re-reading later. Some great advice here, best thread I've seen on MFP for a long time. Thanks!

It took me four weeks to complete week 1! And then I injured my knee so I still haven't completed week 2! But no matter what, I was moving, and making progress, so I didn't mind. And when I start again, I know it will probably take 18 weeks rather than 9, but that's ok too :)

I still have 32lb to go, but doing well so far! photo by knittyflitty1, on Flickr

Thank you everyone :) 20 weeks so far, I started at the very end of February :)

I'm 5' 7", at my heaviest I was 220+ (I didn't weight myself till February this year, I had already lost 5-10lb between last summer and then). I'm now 185lb. Still another 40 lb to go! Untitled by knittyflitty1, on Flickr

When starting from zero, wii fit plus is excellent. I still like doing the yoga and muscle training, even though I don't do the balance and aerobic exercises any more.

Bump! I think that's today's lunch sorted!

I've been logging my vitamins since I started taking them, and they were in the database as 0 calories. I just scanned the barcodes with the app and they still come up as zero calories. I've been losing weight consistently so I'll just carry on!

I think I'm an apple shape. I lost from my legs first, then my boobs. My tummy is shrinking, but it still looks huge compared to the rest of me. So frustrating!

I eat between 1400-1900 per day, depending on how much exercise I've done. I'm aiming to lose weight, and my basic calorie goal is 1500.

Thank you for all your kind comments! :) I've been losing weight since the end of February this year. The first pic above was taken on the day I joined the gym, a month ago! Here is and actual before/during pic. The first pic was taken in November lat year, I was around 220lbs. I'm currently around 186lbs (weigh in…

Bumping to remind me of the next transmission date...getting Sky this week!

My friend had the same problem with her in-laws. She told them the doctor had told her to keep to a healthy weight so she was in the best health for future babies. They accepted that!

But it's full of carbs and fat, so don't eat it after 6pm.

I use the heart rate sensors on the machines to get my heart rate. I find the machines overestimate their calories count, MFP overestimates my burn on the elliptical and bike, but underestimates the treadmill. Probably as I have it on an incline. So I make a not of my heart rate according to the sensors, and work it out…

Lifting heavy is all relative to your own strength. I often feel like a complete wimp using my 2.5 - 5lb dumbells, but I have no strength at all and they are heavy for me! It's only taken 2 workouts to increase weight for some of my exercises, so I'm making progress. As long as you are challenging yourself, then the actual…

Shreddies and bite size shredded wheat are what I have. Or rather, the supermarket own brand! Keeps me going nicely till lunch :)

I get half fat grated mozzarella from tescos.

You need to eat more. I hear that you have control issues, so why not try upping your intake by 100 calories per day, per week, until you're at or around 1300-1550 cals a day, and stay there for a while. It might take a while for you to lose weight again, but it might work in the long run.

I've always imagined there's a long lost twin out there! Age: 40 Ht: 5' 7" SW: 220 CW: 189 GW: 145 (ish, we'll see how I feel when I get there! Ideal range is 136-150) Add me! Leave a message too :)

I don't weigh fruit or vegetables, nor anything pre packed (slice of bread, cake bar and so on). I weigh absolutely everything else, without fail.
-
I eat 2 bananas and 20 grapes every day. Sometimes I'll have some mango, or apple, or satsumas, or all of the above! In total I have around 5-10 portions of fruit and veg everyday. According to MFP I am over my recommended sugar levels every single day, but it hasn't hindered my weight loss at all.

OK. There's a chance you can lose all the weight by August 2013. But it's not guaranteed. One thing is for sure, if you don't even try, you'll probably be even bigger by then. If you go for it, there's a reasonable chance you will be at least 50lb down by then, and you'll look fantastic, compared to now. So what if it…

I eat back about half my exercise calories, unless I'm having a hungry day, then I'll eat them all! My calorie goal is set to lose 1lb a week, I'm averaging a loss of 2lbs per week.

I asked my husband what your boyfriend might have meant. His reply was that boyfriend only wanted to say what you wanted to hear, and didn't know what you wanted to hear! When last year I asked my husband the same question, he replied, I think you're completely beautiful, but if you think you need to lose weight I'll…
