Some simple advice. About the knee, I agree with shoes, that's an easy place to start. The second step is understanding the pain. Often it is a sharp pain on the side of the knee cap and seems like something really wrong. IF that sounds familiar, google something called "runners knee" and follow the stretches. It's a…

Ok, then my new name is "we Todd Ed?". That's classic!! So funny it made my day.... I am so easily amused. HA.

sofaking6.... I have to say that screen name is really funny to me from a joke my brother pulled on me. Not sure it's from the same punch line, but it made me laugh and thanks for that!! Raymond

HEY EVERYONE!!! OK, here is the scoop. I am in France on a business trip and my laptop was down for a few days last week prior to the trip. I am finally getting things up to speed and working on some updates. Sorry it's late but this train is moving forward. I did get in a great run tonight on a trail in the Alps. Not to…

15k no brainer! Redwoods trail running! Doesn't get any better. Cool about the trip too!

Wow, I wish I could be that precise. I use this P90X spreadsheet to keep track of cals. It's simple for me. Eat protein, veggies, and stay away from carbs/snacks/sweets. The hardest is balancing gatorade and gels during long workouts. Sorry I have not been on here more. I am blasted busy getting ready for a business trip…

My wife and I have totally converted our eating in 2010. We are making some excellent foods with almost no guilt. We got the biggest loser cookbooks and started working some recipes. One of the biggest was pre-cooking chicken breasts and shredding the meat. Then, it's ready for whatever we want. Chicken BBQ, tacos, italian…

Jessica, you must be getting ready to watch the Viking win!!! Ha.. I am not a big NFL fan BUT have been a Viking fan since, well..., I was walking. Try not to go overboard too much, but of course we are celebration for the Viikes...right? HA! Raymond

Hey team!!! Looks like we all will be looking forward to wrapping this week up. I ended up sorta angry about it and logged 36 miles running in spite of myself. Verda, I have all the updates, no worries. iplay, hang in there. I am very excited about what you will be posting about late this year. I think this 8k program is…

I'd hardly call mine a struggle. I get a $100 perk if I do an annual physical.... and hence bloodwork goes along with that. They just ping me for BMI, and I laugh it off. It is impossible for me to meet my BMI target, I'd look sickly. Enjoy the family Debra. I try to really soak up every ounce of fun you can. I too weighed…

Ya, Mt Dew Friday. I've been a snacker all week, blah! It was good having an appt this morning for bloodwork forcing me to a 12 hour fast. No late snacking at least once  . I'll try to make it two in a row tonight. Ya know, we have another weigh in weekend coming. Raymond

Wow, what a great week. It's fantastic to see the weight loss in so many, and also everyone fighting to get those workouts in (including me). Please email me with any corrections and I will get it updated with the next chart. It is also great to see everyone so supportive and helpful during times of difficulty. Hang in…

That was my yesterday (without migraine). Blew off the workout, and then went slightly over cal too. I've discovered you are tough as evidence of your workouts, so know you will be back with a vengeance. I always have a problem on the "down slope" as I sometimes don't contain it to a day or two, and rather let it slide a…

in another part of my spare time I lead some bible study groups and always comment that is a way God speaks to us, through other people. I am glad you realize it, and accept it too. That's cool. I always like Psalm 37:4 in these situations, "Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart." What a…

Jessica, that's as good as it gets. Great job. To all a great job this week. I updated the charts and can't express how cool it is to see the progress.

Verda, I just wanted to confirm what you desire in the post this week. Week 2 no weight to post P90X/Insanity workout each day 6 days at or under cal target (good job!) Met goal to eat more protein Week 1 care to provide the goal data? I will update. I just want to be sure you are happy with the data. I have it set up as:…

Hi everyone. I took the family for a weekend getaway to see a musical and have some fun. I did good on the diet and also snuck in a great 5:00 AM bike ride Saturday before we left. I did a quick read on the updates and they look great. Christine, clearly no issue to hang out here. Next 90-day phase will be starting 3/28,…

Kelynn, I set another goal for 2010 and it is to better manage stress. I actually need some stress to perform well in my job, but I am focusing very hard on leaving it at work. The hardest for me is keeping it out of my head at night, because it is easy to dwell on so many points when there is absolutely nothing you can do…

Oh Tracy, that is terrible news. Keep your spirits up and please don't feel you don't belong because of the inactivity. Be sure to visit and tell us slackers what you'd be doing with a clean bill of health. Should be an inspiriation to us all that we can workout and be active. Get well, and sure we can see you on the next…

Hey everyone. Boggs, that's smart and keep working up to a run. I bet it sucks wanting to run, but patience will pay off. Kelynn et all I do work alot too, it's a way of life for me. Typical day is 7:30 to maybe 5:30 or 6, then stuff, more stuff, and cram in a workout somewhere. BUT, I do love weekends. Jessica, depending…

Maybe we all send in a compilation for AFV !!! I am sure it would be worth a few laughs. And now they do Plyometric yoga core-jacks with fly swatting backhands   !!! Welcome back Kelynn, glad you had a good weekend. Chest and Back today, and an 8 mile "cowboy" run tonight. I barely ate anything today too (not…

Happy Bday Tracy. Another lap around the sun. I am cowboy today. That is, after doing Plyo last night and then an hour on my bike trainer. I was walking a little funny today. Then, I hammer chest and shoulders for lunch and my hands are shaking trying to get steamed rice to my mouth. HA. Get me a bib. Keep it up everyone,…

Stormchaser, that is awesome!!! The change in diet was a little wierd for me this week. We loaded up on veggies and meats and it's been really good. I had todiscover just how difficult it is to buy healthy foods. Who would think baked tortilla chips are impossible to find?!? However, we did get into a great routine and…

Jessica, that's funny about the MAN problem with late night snacking. I also agree about keeping it into the calorie count and always scale back breakfast to account for it. If I had a "snack" drawer and crumbs everywhere my wife would have a 1000V shocker in the pringles tube. ZAPPP! Problem solved! More snow here too,…
