I'm 54.....most days I feel like I am in my 30's, however some days I feel 80! Luckily I usually feel pretty young. I think teaching keeps me feeling younger.

I am a teacher and have the opposite concern.....summer is hard for me to stay on task while the school year is much easier. Being busy in the classroom and on the go I can't eat. But....in the summer with free time - you never know what I may munch on!

It is just a number....you need to focus on the pounds lost each week. The "number" will go down slowly but surely. Don't be afraid of a number......you are strong and want to conquer the number - that is your fight - you will slay the "number" each week! Go for it and face it head on. You can win!

Make yourself smile! Look at your little girl and practice smiling. Take her for a walk in the stroller - 3 times a day for 20 minutes each. Act like you are happy - you can do this. I really had a whole wheat tortilla with some cheese, peppers, and mushrooms - it was the same amt of calories as the tortilla chips so I just used that to count the calories.

Thanks for the encouragement....I failed to mention my husband of 31 years rides his bike like a maniac - over 65 miles today in the mountains and is very fit - so I feel even worse about my size while he is marathon man!
